Bio
Although continually mocked by his own family for a poor memory, Riley is renowned on Gold Derby for his encyclopedic knowledge of awards statistics. He usually knows the rules better than those who administer the awards and is infamous for getting nominations rescinded. The first victim was Peter MacNicol, who was ineligible for his 2016 Best Comedy Guest Actor nomination for “Veep” because he was in too many episodes; replacement Emmy nominee Peter Scolari of “Girls” went on to win. Riley moderates the Gold Derby forum, which he discovered in 2008 while obsessing over his favorite show “Lost.” Riley lives in Vancouver, Canada and can be seen as an extra in hundreds of movies and shows that have filmed there.
