Dan Illman (Daily Racing Form) bets on Mucho Macho Man

"Mucho Macho Man has a really big chance to win this race," says Dan Illman (Daily Racing Form) about his pick to win the Breeders' Cup Classic on Saturday. "I liked him at last year's Breeders' Cup. He ran a very good second. He's always had the potential to be a really top horse."

This year Mucho Macho Man has "had perfect prep," he adds. "This is the best I ever saw him."

But Illman also thinks his horse is a good price with 5 -to-1 odds set by the pros. "I concede that Game on Dude is the horse to beat. He may very well be the best horse. But the name of this tune is gambling. Game on Dude is going to be a very short price and I'm not sure the reward is worth the risk."

Jay Privman of Daily Racing Form bets on Palace Malice

"My strategy is to go big or go home," says Daily Racing Form pundit Jay Privman when sizing up his strategy on betting on the Breeders' Cup Classic. He acknowledges that Game on Dude is the widespread fave to win, but " from a betting standpoint, I think Palace Malice is the best gamble.

"Game on Dude is probably the best horse in the race, but he's going to be a much shorter price," Privman says in our video chat below. "This is a gambling sport and it's not about getting blue ribbons for picking the winner." He insists that there's "a better risk reward ratio" to backing Palace Malice.

Christina Blacker (HRTV) bets on Game on Dude

"Game on Dude is the favorite" to win the Breeders' Cup Classic, notes Christina Blacker (Horse Racing TV). "I think this might be his year. He's competed in this race a few times. He's earned $5 million in his career already and he's running better than I've ever seen him."
