Gold Derby can exclusively reveal that Rege-Jean Page is entering the “Bridgerton” episode “Art of the Swoon” as his 2021 Emmy Awards submission for Best Drama Actor. This program streamed December 25 and was the third episode of the first season for the Netflix show.
In this installment, Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) is now turning down proposals after she and Simon (Page) are getting closer. The Queen wants to match with her nephew, though, so Simon is told to propose or risk losing her. He decides to call things off instead.
This year marks the first career Emmy nomination for Page. For this 2021 contest, he is competing against Sterling K. Brown (“This Is Us”), Jonathan Majors (“Lovecraft Country”), Josh O’Connor (“The Crown”), Billy Porter (“Pose”) and Matthew Rhys (“Perry Mason”).
