^^^Yes, agreed. I was going to cite Suzanne Rogers for last Thursday’s and Friday’s and then Tuesday’s episodes.

Thursday (May 23) was the final straw when Maggie is driven by Victor’s continued closeness with Kate, the devastation of Holly’s funeral, and Nicole’s harsh words to succumb to temptation and take a drink. On Friday (May 24), Maggie gets drunk and falls asleep on the couch and is confronted by Brady, who offers her help. Then on Tuesday (May 28), Maggie convinces Sonny that Brady, not she, has fallen off the wagon, then drinks half a bottle of vodka and runs off to confront Kate, all before happening across the shocking sight of Kristen where she expected Nicole. Great stuff.

Best Supporting Actor: Paul Telfer (Zander, Days)
Best Supporting Actress: Suzanne Rogers (Maggie, Days)

Zander catches Maggie about to drink a “nightcap” and the two of them get into a conversation about Zander’s mother and his reasons for wanting Victor’s approval; Maggie falls asleep practically in Zander’s arms! (Brady finds them together asleep on the couch!)

Suzanne Rogers has been fantastic in this storyline! (: Paul Telfer is a personal favorite, too.

    The Young and the Restless

    Outstanding Lead Actor
Mark Grossman (Adam Newman). Adam’s return, getting shot, getting on Nick and Victoria’s bad side, threatening Nick for his son, Christian, teaming up with Phyllis.

I don’t know about anyone else but I really think Mark is doing a great job as Adam Newman.

Best Supporting Actress: Suzanne Rogers (Maggie, Days Of Our Lives)

Brady talks Maggie into going to an AA meeting; later she tells Victor that it was she and not Brady who fell off the wagon. Yet again she delivers a powerful yet subtle performance (:

    The Young and the Restless

    June 13th

Outstanding Lead Actor: Eric Braeden (Victor Newman). Victor learns the treatment for his illness is not working and is devastated. He tells his children. He asks Adam to take over his legacy. Always loved Eric Braeden’s performance, never understood why the Emmys DON’T!!??😡😡😡😡😡😡

Outstanding Supporting Actress: Marla Adams (Dina Mergeron). Traci visits Dina at the facility and tells her about her novel she’s writing. Dina becomes interested and intrigued. Love Marla Adams❤️❤️

    Best Actor: Chandler Massey (Will)
    Best Actor: Freddie Smith (Sonny)
Best Supporting Actress: Lauren Koslow (Kate)
Best Guest Performer: Bryan Datillo (Lucas)
Best Guest Performer: Alison Sweeney (Sami)

The wedding is over and Sami and Lucas return to Salem as Will is likely to die again. Strong performances were delivered by everyone but the chemistry between newlyweds Sonny and Will as they cope with the possibility of losing their future together combined with the return of Will’s parents – who both have strong scenes and personalities – made for wonderful acting opportunities. Both Sami and Lucas ran true to form, getting themselves in the way with self-recrimininations. Meanwhile, Kate had wonderful scenes esp with Lucas as they discuss how Kate treats Will like a son and not just as a grandson. Super strong performances! (:

Best Younger Actress: Olivia Rose Keegan (Claire, Days Of Our Lives)

Tripp and Ciara have a plan to get a jealous Claire to confess to setting the fires. At first their plan is working but Eve sends a message to Claire alerting her that they are likely setting her up. She changes her tune; but eventually she snaps and attacks Tripp with a knife! Very strong acting from ORK!

Best Actress: Katelyn MacMullen (Willow, General Hospital)

I forgot to cite her for her strong courtroom scenes when Willow blew up at Shiloh! I have been so impressed with this actress (I think she’s over 25?)

I second the love for Olivia Rose Keegan. She has been awesome in this storyline, numerous reels she could submit for emmy consideration, and I really think this could be a third nom and first win for her at the 2020 daytime emmy awards. She got nominated for much less the past 2 consecutive years, it’d be crazy if she’s not nominated for her work this year, Victoria Konefal is great, but she needs some better writing to show her range, but that could still come once the truth about Claire is officially out.

I can definitely see GH taking a lot of acting wins again. Even when the material is horrid the players have a way of elevating the material to something wonderful.

Katelyn MacMullen has been really impressive as Willow on GH. This is the kind of character that I typically wouldn’t connect with — I could see myself reacting a bit like Nina does, not that I would begin to condone how horrendous Nina has been to her the last few months, when it’s clearly about a personal grudge rather than Charlotte — but I love her. I’m not even mad that she kind of screwed the pooch with her rant against Shiloh in court. Olivia Rose Keegan’s been great lately as well. With Eden McCoy in the mix, this is already a very strong potential younger actress lineup, with three young ladies I’d be happy to see win.
