ReplyMarch 20, 2019 at 11:23 am #1202823299Surprised by how poorly Y&R did – no Amelia Heinle? Crazy!
No Kirsten Storms is my biggest disappointment. Supporting Actor is a travesty, with only ONE of my picks nominated! All 5 of my Younger Actress nominees made it. Surprised there were 5 Younger Actors nommed.
Still, Jon Lindstrom and Maura West were nominated and both deserve to win.
Days and GH got 12 acting nominations (haven’t read the nominees for Guest Performer yet), Y&R only got 4!, and B&B got 2…

March 20, 2019 at 11:28 am #1202823314No Y&R in lead actress is shocking.
A ton of DAYS acting noms!
Shockingly low number of Y&R acting noms.
I really thought Benard would never be nominated again.
Lead Actor is crazy competitive this year. I could see any of the 5 winning if they submit their best material.
So happy for DePaiva but winning is gonna be tough. Her category’s stacked.
So happy Greg Rikaart got nommed for DAYS. I don’t think he can win but still a fun, deserved nom.
I can’t believe Stafford and Storms were left off for Nathan’s death. They were both stellar. What did Vernee Watson do to take a slot over Storms?

Lead actor and supporting actress is a blood bath …love it
ReplyCopy URLMarch 20, 2019 at 11:36 am #1202823335Guest Performer nominees:
Philip Anthony-Rodriguez (Miguel, Days)
Patricia Bethune (Nurse Mary Pat, GH)
Wayne Brady (Dr. Reese Buckingham, B&B)
Kate Mansi (Abigail, Days)
Thaao Penghlis (Andre, Days)So Days got the most acting nominations this year, 15 acting nominations. 13 for GH, 4 for Y&R and 3 for B&B.
All 4 shows were nominated in nearly ALL of the creative arts categories…
ReplyCopy URLMarch 20, 2019 at 11:46 am #1202823345What the HELL……Y&R only got 5 acting nominations?????? Where the hell is Amelia Heinle, Sharon Case, Eric Braeden?????? Zach Tinker??? Seriously. Tristan Leabu was better than him.
Ok. Were voters that impressed with DAYS acting? Some of the nominees left me scratching my head.
Looks like I’m going to skip the Award show this year

March 20, 2019 at 11:51 am #1202823357Y&R got 5 nominations; forgot Peter Bergman, along with Beth Maitland (yay! First nom in 34 years!), Mishael Morgan, Bryton James and… Zack Tinker? (scratches head over that one!)
B&B got 3 – Heather Tom, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood and Wayne Brady. So sick of Heather Tom and Peter Bergman always being nominated all the time! 5 Emmys is more than enough for Ms. Tom!
I am rooting for Maura and Jon for lead, Kassie (her 3rd nomination!) and Eric for Supporting, Garen and Eden for Younger, and Kate for Guest Performer…
ReplyCopy URLMarch 20, 2019 at 11:59 am #1202823370Digging down into the nominations, I was thrilled to see that one of my favorites, travel goddess Samantha Brown, received her first personal Emmy nomination today as Executive Producer of Samantha Brown’s Places to Love. Her Travel Channel shows received several nominations and won a couple through the years, but she has not been nominated before.
ReplyCopy URLMarch 20, 2019 at 12:00 pm #1202823373DAYS leads the nominations of all series with 27 nominations. Y&R with only 5 acting nominations is the lowest that show has ever had. This is the most nominations DAYS has ever received and they have never in the history of the Daytime Emmy’s ever lead the nominations.
Ron Carlivati has turned DAYS into an Emmy favorite!
ReplyCopy URLMarch 20, 2019 at 12:06 pm #1202823387I’m eager to see what the soaps are submitting for Drama Series? I just hope it’s not GH😡😡😡😡😡
If Y&R play their cards right and submit Hillary’s death then TO ME, it’s a done deal but it depends on what GH submits. Can’t recall what DAYS did and I don’t see B&B winning
ReplyCopy URLMarch 20, 2019 at 12:18 pm #1202823399If I had to guess I’d imagine Bernard submitted from his standalone episode and that Watson used the episode where she and Jordan and Curtis went to family therapy with Chandra Wilson. Those were baity as all get out.
ReplyCopy URLMarch 20, 2019 at 12:22 pm #1202823401I think the biggest surprises are Scott Clifton (B&B), Eileen Davidson (Y&R), Thad Luckinbill (Y&R) and Kristen Storms (GH) being left off, just based on the material each was given last year for storyline.
But that’s why the nominations for Lindsey Godfrey (DOOL) and Dominic Zamprogna (GH) are surprising–I don’t recall either actor having that much story in 2018.

March 20, 2019 at 12:32 pm #1202823416The nominations are not based on story…they are based on one or two episodes…that is all it takes.
ReplyCopy URLMarch 20, 2019 at 12:34 pm #1202823423Since we are in the year 2019, the final one for the decade of the 2010s, I was curious to figure out which actors received the most nominations.
It is a five-way tie, with 6, and the credit goes to: Scott Clifton (2010, *2011, *2013, 2014, 2015, and *2017); Billy Miller (*2010, 2011, *2013, *2014, 2015, and 2018); Peter Bergman (2010, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, and 2019); Heather Tom (*2011, *2012, *2013, 2014, 2017, and 2019); and Laura Wright (*2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2019).
(Note: While the asterisks marks the wins, all other years listed were nominations—with keeping in mind, of course, the current year 2019 is pending).
