I would add Ryan Carnes as Lucas on GH for the 2/21 episode where he decides to give Wiley to Michael.
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 24, 2020 at 2:16 am #1203358239Laura Wright (for Lead Actress) should be included in the 2-19 through 2-20 citations for GH. So glad Carly was written into these scenes. Laura is phenomenal here; just a wonderful acting showcase for her.

Days of our Lives
Outstanding Lead Actress
Camila Banus – Gabi HernandezOn February 18, Julie goads Gabi into trying to possibly kill her by remotely disrupting her pacemaker. Guests at the wedding tear into Gabi for her duplicitous and deadly behavior. On February 19, Gabi tries to explain her actions to Rafe.
I think I mentioned in the DAYS thread that I really liked the contrast of hard Gabi in the Tuesday episode with softer Gabi in the Wednesday episode. She’s great throughout the week, and actually scenes from these episodes could be paired well potentially with the scenes from the previous week when Gabi said goodbye to Stefan’s picture.

My favorite theme music, underlining the final sequence, just lifts the soul.
This episode, coupled with the previous day’s (3/26) in which everyone gathers for the party and suspense is building over the video, would make for a nice Drama Series submission.March 31, 2020 at 8:09 pm #1203404074March 9, 2020

Best Younger Actor/Actress: Sydney Mikayla (Trina, General Hospital)
Trina is furious that commissioner Ashford has said that her late father was a dirty cop. She lashes out about it, and then gets comfort from her friends Joss and Cam. Sydney has been doing terrific work the past several weeks with her father’s death.

Best Supporting Actor: Paul Telfer (Zander, Days Of Our Lives)
Zander is confronted by Eric after the truth has come out about the baby switch. The way Paul Telfer plays these scenes with a hurt tenderness just so in love with Sarah he did it all for her – the flashback scene from a few days before when Sarah doesn’t say “I do” was heartrending. He is such a great actor! He’s a villain who does terrible things but he has his reasons and it’s a testament to his acting skills that we understand his motives and care about him!

Best Supporting Actor (or Best Actor): Paul Telfer (Zander, Days Of our Lives)
The ache of love for Sarah and “Mickey” in Zander’s voice was acting at it’s best. I really wanted to go on that journey with Zander and Sarah to whatever Zander had in mind! He has played Zander’s love for Sarah perfectly. I was disappointed when Sarah hung up on him! (What a fool!) (;

Best Supporting Actor: Paul Telfer (Zander, Days of Our Lives)
Best Supporting Actress: Suzanne Rogers (Maggie, Days of Our Lives)Zander visits Maggie in prison with the intention of not letting her know what is really going on but an inmate tells Maggie that Victor has been stabbed and gradually Zander starts to tell her the truth. Paul and Suzanne have amazing chemistry and I find myself leaning in to watch them intensely when they have scenes together. Their up and down friendship has been wonderful to behold. AT the end of the episode Maggie has figured out that she killed Sarah’s baby (or at least she thinks she did – I don’t believe it for a second!)

Best Actress: Linsey Godfrey (Sarah, Days Of Our Lives)
Best Supporting Actress: Suzanne Rogers (Maggie, Days Of Our Lives)Sarah visits Maggie in prison and she unexpectedly forgives her mom. Meanwhile we get flashback scenes of Maggie being choroformed by Orpheus and kidnapped by him and Evan/Christian (for ransom) but then they cause the car accident and move her to the front seat to make it look like a drunk driving accident. Intense work from both actresses today!

Days of our Lives
Outstanding Lead Actor
Stephen Nichols — Steve JohnsonOn Thursday, Steve get drunk at the pub lamenting that Kayla got engaged to Justin without him getting the chance to tell her he still loves her. Jack does a terrible job of consoling him. On Friday, Kayla finds Steve there and, seeing that he is totally hammered, takes him home to Hope’s place. Steve dreams of telling Kayla the truth and her reciprocating his feelings, but wakes to find Kayla is gone. He expresses his regrets to Hope.
I think this was really great work, and that Nichols absolutely nails both the progressive drunkenness and the heartache that Steve is feeling.

Best Younger Performer: Olivia Rose Keegan (Claire, Days Of Our Lives)
I am not sure of her age, has she aged out of the Younger Performer category?
Claire is back and delivering superb performances as she manipulates Marlena, her parents, and has conversations with new gal pal Gwen (Emily O’Brien) at Bayview. She is scheming to get out of the hospital and stir things up with “BFF” Ciara! She is a breath of fresh air for the show and she is delivering terrific performances!
ReplyCopy URLJune 10, 2020 at 12:32 pm #1203526155Pretty sure she is still eligible for younger performer. She is 21 this year, born in 1999, so she has quite a few more years still qualifying in this category yet.

Days of our Lives
Outstanding Supporting Actor
Galen Gering — Rafe HernandezRafe learns that Zoey was awarded custody of David and is devastated to have to give him up.
This is standout work from Gering. This beat is really compactly told, as Rafe doesn’t even know the custody decision at the start of the episode and by the end has already said goodbye to David. It’s pretty heartbreaking. This would contrast well with the scenes from the episode before, where Rafe clearly thinks the custody battle is going his way and is in a great mood. Kristian Alfonso is great in these scenes as well.
