^^^ Agreed, Sharon Case always shines with this kind of material. And Alyvia has been killing it pretty much all year, such an incredible talent!

I am citing Alyvia Alyn Lind for her phenomenal performance on the March 26 episode of Y&R – Faith learns that the boy she has been falling in love with online is actually a female cyber bully. AAL gives a beautiful performance as a heartbroken teenaged girl who is being bullied. She is truly delivering superb performances!!!!

    Drama Series GH
Lead Actress: Nancy Lee Grahn as Alexis Davis on General Hospital
    Writing
    Directing

WOW. Just wow. This standalone episode that honors NLG for 25 years on the show is powerful, has incredible range and is seared in my brain. Also great seeing NLG with a lot of her best scene partners over the years (Monaco, Ainsworth, Pullos, Rademacher, Kurth, Easton, Stuart) as each brings out a different part of one of the most rewarding characters and actresses on this show. This should be a top contender next year!

I also wish to cite Nancy Lee Grahn for a beautiful performance on today’s episode!

    Days of our Lives
    Outstanding Supporting Actress
    Victoria Konefal – Ciara Brady

Marlena hypnotizes Ciara, and she remembers the fire at the cabin that almost killed her. Traumatized, Ciara assumes Ben set the fire to try to kill her, but Marlena tells her it was Claire. Ciara confronts Claire and learns that Claire actually tried to burn her alive twice. She declares that she wants nothing to do with Ben or Claire and seeks comfort in Theo’s arms.

Great work by Victoria in these scenes. This storyline isn’t very compelling on paper, but I do really enjoy all of VK’s scenes. These would probably feel stronger if they were competing in the younger performer category, but I believe with the rule changes that Konefal is aged out of the category now.

    The Bold and the Beautiful

Outstanding Lead Actor: Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer)
Outstanding Lead Actor: Don Diamont (Bill Spencer)
Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series
Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series

After regaining consciousness at the Spencer mansion, Liam is overcome by the grim reality of the events that transpired earlier that night, in which he accidentally hit Vinny with his car on a dark stretch of the road on his and Bill’s way home. Believing he is responsible for Vinny’s death, a panic-stricken Liam wants to turn himself in to the police, but Bill is able to dissuade him from doing so. Convinced that the police would prosecute his son on the basis of murder charges given Liam’s complicated history with Vinny, Bill vows to protect Liam at all costs.

Powerful performances from both Clifton and Diamont, who play so well off each other here. Wonderful direction by Jennifer Howard in the build-up of tension and suspense. Huge props to Brad Bell and the writing team for crafting this perfectly-timed, intriguing murder mystery. Particularly loved some of the humorous notes Shannon B. Bradley (Wed. ep.) mingles into the script, which works as a nice contrast with all the intensity of the dramatic parts in the episode.

    Days of our Lives
    Outstanding Lead Actress
    Marci Miller — Abigail Deveraux

Abigail overhears Jack and Gwen say that Gwen is pregnant with Chad’s baby. She’s furious, and at first doesn’t believe it. Once convinced, she pushes Gwen to terminate the pregnancy.

Wow, Abigail is taking no prisoners and neither is Marci Miller. She’s been great in this story and with giving her version of Abigail more of the edge that Kate Mansi’s version has. This performance is full throttle but doesn’t feel overdone. I especially love it with the capper at the end where Abigail goes home and tells Chad. I don’t love this story on paper, but I absolutely enjoy every minute Marci is on screen.

I am citing Emily O’Brien for her vulnerable performances as Gwen learns she may be and then finds out she is pregnant. I have liked the softer more vulnerable Gwen, who has changed due to her relationship with bio-dad Jack.

Emily O’Brien has been good, and I’m glad the show is taking Gwen in a softer direction. As I’m sure I’ve said before, I liked the character considerably better before they introduced this vendetta against Abigail and family, so would love to get back there.

    4-21
    Lead Actress
Laura Wright as Carly Corinthos (GH)

Carly visits Jason in jail and cries how she can’t lose him.

    4-22
    Lead Actor
Michael Easton as Dr. Hamilton Finn (GH)

Anna tells Finn that Peter meant to poison Finn but accidentally poisoned Chase instead. Finn angrily tells Anna to stay away from him and his family.

    Supporting Actress
Kirsten Storms as Maxie Jones (GH)
Maxie visits Nathan’s grave where she tells him all about her plan to keep Peter away from her baby.

I’m hating Carly right now, but Laura Wright is absolutely committed to that banshee and her nonsense.

Easton has had a number of episodes this year that are far better than the reel he was nominated for a few years ago. He should be an easy nominee next year in a category that’s been pretty barren the last few years.

Storms could use these scenes on her reel as a nice contrast to the more fiery confrontation scenes she’s had with Hughes lately.

^I agree with you about Michael Easton and Kirsten Storms; they were both stellar! I would also add: Best Directing for today’s episode, which was extremely fluid and well staged, not a single moment of the show was boring…

I wish to cite three performers for their work on April 30, 2021:

Sharon Case and Joshua Morrow, as Sharon and Nick learn of Faith’s health difficulties and learn that Adam could be a match for her. They are giving beautiful performances in this storyline!

Emily O’Brien as Gwen on Days, who learns that she has miscarried her baby girl, and then is confronted quite viciously by Abigail. I love this more vulnerable Gwen, but I have a feeling she is going to switch back a bit due to Abigail’s terrible behavior!!!

I wish to cite 4 exceptional performances on today’s excellent episode of The Young and the Restless: Sharon Case, Jordi Vilasuso, Mark Grossman and Joshua Morrow. Sharon is dealing with Faith’s illness and has a heart to heart with Rey, who is acknowledging that there may be some truth to Chelsea being the poisoner and not Adam; and Adam and Nick are trapped in a cellar in Kansas and have a heart to heart about their relationship. Very strong work from all 4 performers!

I wish to cite the writing team from GH for their excellent writing on today’s episode – May 11th. Especially the scenes between Portia and Jordan and also Trina and Cam where there are discussions on race and policing – topical and well integrated into the episode. I do wish however they could take out Carly’s annoying scenes from the episode!
