I have been working on a list of suggestions of potential Guest/Limited Performer Goldies possibilities. As for the Daytime Emmys I still don’t fully understand the eligibility rules as far as who is and who isn’t a potential nominee… Here are some names I have come up with who I personally think belong in the category, but maybe a few of these you won’t think belong in the category? There are likely some names missing too…
The Bold and the Beautiful: Sean Kanan, Ted King, Naomi Matsuda, Dan Martin, Jennifer Gareis, Dick Christie, Katrina Bowden, and Joe LoCicero..
Days Of Our Lives: John Aniston, Linda Dano, Jason Downs, Heather Lindell, Tina Huang, Suzanne Rogers, Dan Wells, William Utay, Ivan G’Vera, Kyle Lowder, Cady Huffman, Chandler Massey, Chrishell Stause, Leann Hunley, James Read, Thaao Penghlis, Cady McClain, Brock Kelly, Vanessa Williams, Marla Gibbs, Jaime Lyn Bauer, Victoria Platt, George Del Hoyo, and Greg Vaughan…
General Hospital: Jacklyn Zeman, Denise Alexander, Leslie Charleson, John J York, Tristan Rogers, Lynn Herring, Kimberly McCullough, Michael E Knight, Cassandra James, Sonya Eddy, George Harrison, Kim Delaney, Bradford Anderson, Carolyn Hennessy, Lexi Ainsworth, Real Andrews, Ingra Cadranel, Rif Hutton, Vernee Watson, Max Gail, Kimberly J Brown, and Kristina Wagner…
The Young and the Restless: Sean Carrigan, Karla Mosley, Lauralee Bell, Doug Davidson, Tracey Bregman, Tricia Cast, Elizabeth Hendrickson, Greg Rikaart, Beth Maitland, Eileen Davidson, Madison Thompson, Dana Sparks, and Jess Walton..
Who have I left out?November 22, 2021 at 6:13 am #1204594148
I forgot Jane Elliot in General Hospital! She made several appearances and was wonderful in January 2021!

Some of these people strike me as having too much screen time or story prominence to qualify as a limited/guest performer. People I would argue should instead be in supporting:
B&B – Sean Kanan, Jennifer Gareis, Katrina Bowden and maybe Ted King
DAYS – Tina Huang and maybe Thaao Penghlis and Leann Hunley
GH – Leslie Charleson, Tristan Rogers, Cassandra James, Carolyn Hennessy, Ingra Cadranel, Rif Hutton
Y&R – I haven’t watched Y&R all year, so I don’t know, but are Tracy Bregman and Greg Rikaart on so infrequently? Makes me feel like DAYS should get Greg back as Leo!
This is also a little hard because there’s still more than a month to go in the year. Krista Allen will debut soon on B&B and won’t have much screentime this year, but I don’t know if she’ll be too involved in story to seem like a valid candidate. On DAYS, we could add Eileen Davidson, Vincent Irizarry, Blake Berris and possibly Precious Way. For GH, the temp recasts for Jordan and Nikolas would be worth considering, and also the actor playing Kip.November 22, 2021 at 11:34 am #1204595049
^Thanks EmmyLoser! Interesting feedback! These are merely some ideas/suggestions – I am thinking that outside of the Younger Actor and Younger Actress categories just to have people vote for whoever they want in whichever category they feel they belong in, and expand our nominees to five other than the younger acting categories too… it was easier to compile lists for Days and GH because I had their episode counts for the first 10 months and everybody who has been on the show during the year are on those lists; don’t have those numbers for the CBS shows.
Yes, Greg Rikaart and Tracey Bregman have been on very infrequently this past year.December 3, 2021 at 9:34 pm #1204625339
Agree with all of EmmyLoser’s suggestions (with the exception of GH’s Rif Hutton; his character Lenny’s appearances had a clear starting and ending date within this calendar year).
As for Y&R, Tracey Bregman, Elizabeth Hendrickson and Greg Rikaart have been featured quite prominently since Sally Spectra’s arrival in Genoa City, so I’d definitely consider them (as well as Courtney Hope) as supporting players.
Lauralee Bell and Judith Chapman‘s recent stints were rather limited but I’d still consider both as supporting. Tricia Cast was on-screen a bit more frequently, as was Beth Maitland, so I’d place both in supporting as well.
Y&R Guest Performers missing from the list:
Ptosha Storey (Naya Benedict)
Jack Landron (Sutton Ames)
Jamison Jones (Jesse Gaines)December 4, 2021 at 4:34 am #1204625746
I would also put Riff Hutton in guest/limited for the above stated reason. He actually might even get my vote.December 5, 2021 at 11:58 pm #1204629146
A few more Guest Performer candidates from Y&R that had slipped my mind:
Michael Bofshever (Dr. Hedges, Chelsea’s psychiatrist)
Roxanne Hart (Kim Dunaway)
Tyler Johnson (Theo Vanderway)
Elizabeth Leiner (Tara Locke)
It was so wonderful seeing Jess Walton back in town this past week. Hope more scenes with Jill are in store (for the time being, I think it’s safe to consider her a supporting player?).
I’m still on the fence about whether Leigh-Ann Rose (who plays Imani Benedict, Amanda’s half-sister) ought to be considered supporting. Her brief visits have been sporadic throughout the year (though it does look like she’ll be getting more story in the next couple weeks?), so it might be wise to include her on the Guest Performer list for now.December 6, 2021 at 5:24 am #1204629498
These are just meant to be suggestions so that people can jog their memories through this thread when they are thinking about their votes next month. I have appreciated them especially the ones for B&B and Y&R since there is no cast appearances lists that I have been able to find like the ones that are available for Days and GH.January 16, 2022 at 6:58 pm #1204732952
Bumping this for anyone who needs it when filling out their Goldies nominations ballot!January 17, 2022 at 6:51 am #1204733447

Narrowing down all the Guest Performer candidates to just five nominees for the Goldies nominations ballot was brutal. For example, there were at least ten worthy candidates from DAYS alone, and that’s without even considering performers from the other three shows!
The pool is just too large for one category. I think for next year’s Goldies, we should seriously consider breaking this field up into two sub-categories: Best Guest Performer and Best Limited-run Performer. This should make the process of picking candidates a bit more manageable. Not now
