Now that we have more information on what all the actors submitted, let’s rank on who’s submissions were the best in our opinions. We gotta exclude drama series, writing, and Directing until we find out what the submissions are. My opinions are subjected to change at any moment but for now this is where I stand.

PLEASE let your opinion be based off the reels and not who you like the best. Just like the Emmys. It’s not a popularity contest. IT’S ALL ABOUT THE REELS!!!!

    Here are my choices…for now

Lead Actor:  1. Eric Martsolf 2. James Reynolds 3. Jason Thompson 4. Peter Bergman 5. John McCook

Lead Actress: 1. Mishael Morgan 2. Arianne Zucker 3. Marci Miller 4. Cynthia Watros 5. Laura Wright

Supporting Actor: 1. Jordi Vilasuso 2. Aaron D. Spears 3. Bryton James 4. James Patrick Stuart 5. Jeff Korber

Supporting Actress: 1. Stacy Haiduk 2. Melissa Ordway 3. Kimberlin Brown 4. Nancy Lee Grahn 5. Kelly Thiebad

Younger Performer: 1. Alyvia Alyn Lind 2. Lindsay Arnold 3. Nicholas Chavez 4. William Lipton 5. Sydney Mikayla

Guest Performer: 1. Ptosha Storey 2. Ted King 3. Naomi Matsuda 4. Michael Lowery 5. Robert Gossett

Since we can’t see the reels and don’t know how they “play” – because it is a totally different context than seeing the scenes within the episodes, all chopped up, and within an episode with other things going on in them – we really can’t base it entirely on the reels. It’s a mix of what we have read about what they submitted and what we remember of their work in 2022. These are my current predictions:

    Best Actor:

    1. John McCook
    2. James Reynolds (my pick)
    3. Eric Martsolf
    4. Jason Thompson
    5. Peter Bergman

    Best Actress

    1. Cynthia Watros (my pick)
    2. Arianne Zucker
    3. Marci Miller
    4. Laura Wright
    5. Mishael Morgan

    Best Supporting Actor

    1. Jeff Korber
    2. James Patrick Stuart (my pick)
    3. Aaron D Spears
    4. Jordi Vilasuso
    5. Bryton James

    Best Supporting Actress

    1. Nancy Lee Grahn (my pick)
    2. Melissa Ordway
    3. Kelly Thiebaud
    4. Stacey Haiduk
    5. Kimberlin Brown

    Best Younger Performer

    1. Aylvia Alyn Lind
    2. Sydney Mikayla (my pick)
    3. Nicholas Chavez
    4. Lindsay Arnold
    5. William Lipton

    Best Guest Performer

    1. Ptosha Storey
    2. Naomi Matsudi (my pick)
    3. Ted King
    4. Michael Lowry
    5. Robert Gossett

Not enough information about Series, Directing, and Writing yet…
    2.

I’ll go with lead actor since I now at least have some idea of what was submitted. I’ve watched James Reynolds’ reel. John McCook, Peter Bergman and Jason Thompson ( I don’t know what they submitted, but I watched the shows all year so I know what to expect, especially for Thompson and McCook). I have read the transcript for Martsolf but have not watched the reel. So here is my very iffy ranking and we’ll see how it goes.
    1. McCook 2. Martsolf 3. Bergman 4. Reynolds 5. Thompson

I have no idea what others submitted besides Y&R/B&B actors so…I’ll just predict who I think will win based on types of stories they may have had.
Lead actress: Wright, Supporting Actor: Vilasuso or Spears, Supporting Actress: Ordway or Haiduk, Young actor: Lind, Guest performer: Drama series: ? B&B had a crazy Sheila wedding reveal and Y&R had the Neil tribute while Soap Opera Digest named General Hospital the best show of the year. I got to see the devil possession on Days to watch the 10/25/21 episode. That was interesting. It’s anyone’s game.

I wanted to love Reynolds as much as I did his 2018 reel and while I thought his reel involved high stakes (afterlife) I felt his flashbacks outshined his current performance and I thought it didn’t have very much range. Maybe impact will win over that?  Who knows. Maybe he submitted other material as well. He’s a good actor who made me jump out of my seat with his 2018 reel. I plan on watching Martsolf’s and McCook’s reel/or at least the transcript he is telling Ridge of his ED if I can find it. I’ll see how my choices change.

I based it on what scenes I could pull up online and YouTube and other Various sites. My rankings are subjected to change. Maybe if I knew what Korber and Stuart put on their submissions those could change. I actually liked some of the scenes that Watros and Wright said were on their reels but it didn’t wow me or move me but I will give the edge to Watros because she showed various sides of Nina. Chavez blew me away with what I could piece together of his scenes. He actually might win. Lipton made me cry when I saw Cam grieving after Franco’s death. Thiebad was good from the scenes I could see. Grahn was so good I hers I had to give her a standing ovation and I’m glad there was no screaming and hollering in her episode. Grahn, Watros, Lipton, and Chavez had the best episodes out of all the GH performances.

If you have the Peacock app you can watch Eric Martsolf’s two scenes from May 26 and May 27, 2021 on there. It’s basically the same thing as Stacy Haiduk’s scenes.

Thanks, I’ll look for that. I thought it was a previous season so I wasn’t sure how far back I’ll go, so I’ll just keep going! 🙂 From what I read of the transcript between the two, Haiduk left me with a bit more of an impression, but I’ll watch to see how it plays out.

Vilasuso has a strong strong chance of winning, but I can’t count out Korber or Spears.
