Actor/actress currently on air that you would like to see return to a prior role

I was thinking about this the other day because as much as I love Amelia Heinle and I think she has made the role of Victoria her own, I would do ANYTHING to see Heather Tom return to this role. Her chemistry with Joshua Morrow, Melody Thomas Scott and ESPECIALLY Eric Braeden was incredible. Also, I find Katie to be a very annoying character.

This topic only works for the Los Angeles based performers who have been on more than one of the four shows still on the air! For example, I would love for Maura West to return to the role of Carly on As The World Turns but that show has been cancelled!!! (;

I wouldn’t mind seeing Greg Vaughan return to the role of Lucky but I would prefer Jonathan Jackson to return!

I would love for Darin Brooks to play Max Brady on Days because I don’t remember him at all – I don’t think I watched Days very much in the late 2000’s.

I would love for Eileen Davidson to return to Days as Kristen and Susan. I don’t mind Stacey Haiduk as Susan but for me she’s a total fail as Kristen.

Great one on Darin Brooks! I loved him as Max, and I’m always happy to see more Bradys and Hortons. And Wyatt… ugh, same as Liam, I’m sort of sick of both of them.

I don’t like Jason Thompson’s take on Billy, vastly preferred him as Patrick! I find his Billy incredibly boring ): I would love for Patrick to return!

I agree, but I wonder also how much of it has to do with the writing. But yeah, I much preferred Billy Miller in this role. And I would love for Patrick to return to GH.

I agree on Jason Thompson. I would much rather him come back to play Patrick than seeing him as Billy, which I don’t love. I’d kind of like to see Michelle Stafford go back to playing Nina on GH. It seems like she’s being wasted at Y&R, and while Cynthia Watros really has been great as Nina, I just like Stafford’s version of the character better, and she’s getting a ton of story. Eileen Davidson as Kristen and Susan is a pretty obvious one, though the writing almost makes me want her to stay away until they get a better handle on the character. Oh, and I’d love to see Greg Rikaart back on DAYS as Leo. I miss that character so much!

Wow, everyone I picked would be leaving Y&R.

We know it will never happen but I’d love to see Michael Muhney return to his role on Y&R. Obviously, I get why he had to be fired, but there is no denying that he was a dynamic performer and managed to make Adam a character we all wanted to watch.

I echo the sentiments of the OP in that I’d love to see Heather Tom return to Y&R as Victoria Newman. I’ve always felt that Amelia Heinel lacked a crucial quality that HT always had, a strength and boldness that HT always conveys.

Days: Tamara Braun should’ve come back as Taylor rather than Ava. The way they have her drinking out of a big empty cup every other day irks my nerves. Plus I cannot never not remember that Ava is responsible for Shawn Brady’s death.

Taylor could’ve played out this whole current storyline with Rafe and she (Tamara) has a bit of chemistry with Phillip.

That’s an interesting thought. When Tamara originally came on as Taylor, I thought it was pretty bad, but I agree that given Ava’s two tours of terror before this one, I’ve been uninterested in her as a romantic partner for Rafe or anyone.

I have to say that Tamara Braun is an actress I was highly critical of on “GH” as Carly. I never thought she fit that role, but she has hugely impressed me in her subsequent roles, especially on DOOL and her second GH stint.
