DAYS Officially Renewed by NBC

Confirmation today from NBC that DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been officially renewed through September 2017, with a built in option for 1 additional year under the same terms, which would see the show through September 2018.

No other information has been divulged yet about the details of their new contract, but rumours are swirling that the show could be going on a lengthy production hiatus at NBC’s request in order to reduce the tape-to-air lead time that is currently pushing 6 months long.

DAYS current contract with NBC will expire in September, which is when the new one will come into effect.

GREAT NEWS!  Though all of my ragging in the other threads may not show it, I’m thrilled and relieved this has officially gone through, and will be even more thrilled if the show can reduce its tape-to-air time to something more conventional without losing the cost-saving benefits that enticed them to the model in the first place.
