I am so far doing really well on predictions: Kate Mansi, Steve Burton, Bryan Craig, GH for Directing, Y&R for Writing; I can’t remember where I finally landed as I went back and forth on Lexi Ainworth and Reign Edwards.
Jim O’Heir? Who are these panelists? Really surprised they didn’t reward Nichelle Nichols.
Awaiting the last 3 awards. I am rooting for Billy Flynn and Nancy Lee Grahn or Laura Wright; B&B for Drama Series. I predicted Y&R for Series, Flynn for Actor, and Wright for Actress…April 30, 2017 at 7:27 pm #1202080878
Don’t know how Jim O’Heir won Guest Performer!
The other winners were NOT surprising! Happy for Y&R.April 30, 2017 at 7:31 pm #1202080880
WHAT DID I TELL YOU GUYS!

Scott Clifton won Lead Actor! WOW…………….
He joins Heather Tom nowApril 30, 2017 at 7:47 pm #1202080887
I would’ve thought Y&R would win with the 11,000 episode!April 30, 2017 at 8:01 pm #1202080892
Well im upset general hospital won best drama for that stupid hostage situation at Alexis and Julian’s wedding. y&r was robbed indefinitely. I thought b&b would have won best directing but GH won (blah blah blah). Nichelle nichols not winning best guest performance is messed up. I’m happy for Jim oheir but it was shocking.
Lexi Ainsworth winning over reign Edwards is upsetting. Ik it was a coming out storyline but my God really.
The rest of the winners were my pics. Kate Mansi won supporting actress like I said she would.
Steve Burton won supporting Actor like I said he would. Bryan Craig won younger Actor like I said he would. Gina Tognoni WON Lead Actress just like I said she WOULD. Very few of you believed me but I knew it deep down in my soul. Scott Clifton is one of my favorites on b&b. I’m not surprised but I was pulling for Billy Flynn. So I got a five out of ten score.April 30, 2017 at 8:15 pm #1202080909
You and I knew Gina T was going to win Lead Actress and look what happened???? She WON……………………
I was sick to hear GH name called for Best Drama!April 30, 2017 at 8:52 pm #1202080944
I did not view the live streaming of the Daytime Emmys.
During the year 2016, I did not follow the daytime soaps to an extent of feeling informed enough to offer opinions on who should be nominated and/or win. So, I had to refrain.
Looking at these comments, it appears some find these Daytime Emmys kind of an Alternative Daytime Emmys. (Well, not completely.) But, hey, that’s the Daytime Emmys for you!April 30, 2017 at 10:57 pm #1202081010
lincelts yes we were the only two who said it and no one believed us. Look what happened…She won. The gut doesn’t lie. I am mortified that GH took top honors for best Drama Series. That was Y&R’s award. I hope there was an envelope mix up. I understand Craig and Ainsworth and the directing team winning but this tops the cake. I was dead sure that Mansi was going to win and she did. Scott Clifton surprised me now he and Heather Tom have won in the lead, supporting, and younger categories. I also said Steve Burton was going to win and low and behold, he won. I knew Y&R was going to win best drama series writing Team and it happened. I was ok with everything else but drama series. Good show overall though.May 1, 2017 at 12:26 am #1202081119
GH was clearly the rightful winner in Best Drama Series. I knew they were a lock to take the gold after rewatching some of the submissions in the category. No contest. Both of those episodes were simply fantastic entertainment and a two hour rollercoaster ride of emotional twists. Not a single boring moment or slow filler scene could be found in either show. I understand that people are sick of the mob stuff, but damn it makes for some killer edgy drama. The acting was off the charts by the cast. Watch it back. GH would be celebrating a three peat right now if they hadn’t picked the Nurses Ball in 2015.
Y&R’s second episode was a very poor submission (absolute filler material with nothing really happening) so I am not sure how you can say they were robbed. They weren’t. The New Year’s eve show was boring as hell till the final few minutes. Y&R also screwed up royally by not choosing the September 1st episode since that was the day of the cabin explosion involving Chloe and Adam. Not sure what they were thinking by going with the day after since it wasn’t really eventful with two many side stories. MCE as Chelsea was the only highlight. DOOL should’ve been the runner up over Y&R.May 1, 2017 at 3:07 am #1202081205
Shunned Scott Clifton won over Peter Bergman and Billy Flynn. It wasn’t a bad reel but I thought Peter’s reel was by far the best.
The funny thing about Clifton winning now is that if one doesn’t like seeing Liam 5 days a week on B & B you better prepare yourself, he will be now.
HE’S ABOUT TO EAT!!!May 1, 2017 at 3:52 am #1202081245
I was rooting for Billy Flynn, but didn’t his reel have him crying and throwing things? I think the voters are increasingly getting sick and tired of reels like this. Heather Tom submits these all the time.
As for Jim O’Heir, maybe he brought some needed comic relief to the reels after voters had to deal endlessly with crying and screaming. It was probably a welcome change.May 1, 2017 at 4:30 am #1202081270

You got a point.
Pretty much every reel last night had crying, screaming or sadness. The committee was probably like we need some happy.May 1, 2017 at 5:20 am #1202081313
It was just a tough year to predict that I managed to place 88th with only 6 correct predictions! I personally expected more of a Y&R sweep and was surprised by the 4 wins for GH, after only getting hairstyling at the creative arts awards. And on the flip side, Mansi was the only DOOL winner last night after the program won 5 awards on Friday night.
In the non-soap categories, almost all of my second place choices won in mild surprises to me (GMA, Ellen and the Talk hosts, Jeopardy, and Dr. Oz), but the Steve Harvey wins continue to really surprise me.
And, while I am disappointed that Nichelle Nichols didn’t win for guest performer, Jim O’Heir’s win means that 3 Parks and Recreation cast members won their first Emmys in the past year. Maybe there’s a chance for Nick Offerman in voiceover and Rashida Jones for documentary programming soon!May 1, 2017 at 7:36 am #1202081417

Yes………………………GH winning really ruined my night! Scott Clifton was a huge surprise because I really didn’t have him down as winning Lead Actor but it’s OK.
I think what most people will be talking about is Nichelle Nichols NOT winning Guest Performer.
