Disappointment: 2007 Days Rachel Melvin not winning the younger actress Emmy and 2010 Days Arianne Zucker not winning the Supporting actress Emmy, and Deidre Hall not being nominated for an emmy since the mid 80’s

Most disappointed with Eileen Davidson’s loss in 1998 for Days. I really wanted her to win for her amazing work playing five different characters. So glad she was able to win years later, but I was so upset when she lost the first time. I had to wait almost 20 years to finally see her win.

Natalia Livingston winning in 2005. That is such a fluke win.

I’ve always said Justin Deas deserved all his Emmys and so did Erika Slezak. They act within range. They’re performances are riveting.

Since I have been following the Daytime Emmy Awards since 1985, one name pops out: Kevin Mambo. He won two younger-actor Emmys, in 1996 and 1997, for playing Marcus Williams on CBS’s Guiding Light. (I didn’t think he would win once let alone twice.)

Kevin Mambo picked killer reels. He won in 1996 for Marcus’s plea to Dinah about her marriage to Roger and in 1997 for Marcus screaming at his father Griffin for not doing more to find the guys who hurt him. I hate he only stayed 3 years.
