GH got snubbed wowMay 1, 2014 at 6:09 am #426231
The voters from OLTL and AMC must have not voted for GH. Maybe some bad blood after the way abc treated themMay 1, 2014 at 6:10 am #426232

I am surprised Finola Hughes didn’t make it in. I never thought zucker would get in. I always thought she was always more of a supporting character but i know she had great storylines this seasonMay 1, 2014 at 6:14 am #426235
(My god, what did Frank & Ron submit that they missed out on series, writing and directing?!)May 1, 2014 at 6:14 am #426236
With no GH i think that means Days will winMay 1, 2014 at 6:17 am #426237
GH and OLTL were sharing some of the stars for a while and i think the way ABC treated them may have backfired.May 1, 2014 at 6:25 am #426238
Katherine Kelly Lang got in. To me she has always been a divisive character and actor. I like her though and i think she has been an important part of the show but i know maybe some people don’t care for her. I really thought they would vote for Finola Hughes. I loved Zucker this year but i don’t know if she belongs in lead and how can you nominated her and not Greg VaughanMay 1, 2014 at 6:31 am #426239
It’s sad to see no Finola Hughes the 2nd year in a row, don’t know what she has to do to get another nom.
It sucks to see Doug Davidson steal a spot from a real Lead Actor the 2nd year in a row.
Congrats to Jason Thompson on his 4th consecutive nom. Once again he’s the only non-Y&R nominee in the lead actor category.
I’m not too upset that Maura West and Maurice Benard were left off because they should be locks for next year.
I can’t imagine what iOLTL could have submitted to get in to series and directing. I watched every episode and that incarnation of the show was just horrible. The writing, production and direction were so sloppy that even that talented group of actors couldn’t save it.
Frank and Ron strike again. The 50th anniversary ep plus one of the Nurses’ Ball eps should have made them a lock for the top 3 categories. God only knows what they submitted instead.
Congrats to KKL and Arianne Zucker scoring their first lead nominations.
So happy to see Dominic Zamprogna score his first nom. Very deserving.
I know there’s one user who’ll be very happy with the supporting actress category! I was never a big Kelly Sullivan fan but I’m glad she was nominated for gdfl’s sake.May 1, 2014 at 6:38 am #426240
Doug Davidson didn’t have a lot to do this time around did he. All of the OLTL and AMC voters must have voted for OLTL. I used to enjoy that show but the online version wasn’t anything great. LIke i said the way ABC treated OLTL when they were sharing some stars with GH must have backfiredMay 1, 2014 at 6:50 am #426241
OK. I’m struggling to get the pdf and doc pages to open, so I’ll just react as I scroll:
The Online Network’s One Life To Live making it into the program category over General Hospital is a major surprise, as is GH’s absence in writing and directing.
In the acting races, I bombed my lead actress predictions, not expecting it to be a TBATB and DOOL sweep.
Almost perfect in lead actor, thanks to 5 nominees, but I still held out hope for Maurice Bernard.
Another bomb with my supporting actress predictions, as I got the right shows (GH and TYATR), but the wrong actresses.
And supporting actor is a complete surprise to me, other than Anderson and Clifton.
I did much better in younger actor, getting 3 of the eventual 5 in each.
In other categories, I am amazed at the success of shows like The American Bible Challenge and intrigued by the inclusion of The Chew and Katie, two shows credited/blamed for the demise of ABC soaps (and their presence in major program categories combined with GH’s absense makes me wonder somewhat about its future).May 1, 2014 at 7:04 am #426242
Days poor showing and Y&R’s strong showing – there are no words! I expected it, but it’s WRONG!!!! Days had it’s best year ever and Y&R had it’s worst (except for Kay’s death and Delia’s death, but the latter wasn’t “liked” by the audience – killing off a character who could have gone on for years and years with stories).
Greg Vaughan and Freddie Smith not being nominated is just plain wrong! Especially considering some of the supporting actor nominees who made it instead (Burton, Clifton and Zamprogna – yikes!)
What on earth did GH submit for Series that it didn’t make it to the final list? Frank Valentini has a reputation for submitting wrong episodes… I preferred AMC to OLTL but I preferred both shows to B&B and Y&R.
Eileen and Ari better win; I will be furious if Heather Tom wins FOUR years in a row! I am hoping for a tie but Eileen deserves it more, because she was key to Days success in 2013.
The Y&R actors getting FOUR of the Best Actor slots? I wanted LeBlanc and Miller (and Thompson), but as good as Peter Bergman is, can’t they nominate someone else and give him a rest? and Doug Davidson, I like him, but he belonged in the supporting category for 2013.
The trinity all got nominated (Egan, Heinle, Hendrickson), but JANE ELLIOT is NOMINATED!!!! Yeah!!!! So excited! And also: Kelly Sullivan! She was great! I hope a GH actress wins, and her name better be Jane (I could live with Kelly winning, though).
I have a different list of writing nominees: B&B, GH, OLTL and Y&R? Why is it listed here as being B&B, Days and Y&R? Which list is correct? (I hope the latter list, because Days is on it!)
I like four of the younger actor nominees (not a big Max Ehrich fan). Hoping Chandler will “threepeat” but I wanted Freddie to win so much!
Kelli Missal for the win in Younger Actress. Surprised Kristin Alderson got nominated for Kiki. Linsey Godfrey and Kim Matula are first time nominees. Hunter King repeated from last year with the paternity reveal story.May 1, 2014 at 7:17 am #426243
Thank God Eileen Davidson is nominated! I would of started throwing stuff otherwise lol She carried the show and deserves to win. I have a feeling Heather Tom will probably win again though. Hope I’m wrong. VERY happy Ari made it on the list. She was fab.
Not too surprised actually that Y&R dominated the lead actor category again. Thinking it will probably go to Billy Miller.
Supporting Actress is going to go to Jane Elliot or Elizabeth Hendrickson.
So happy about Eric Martsolf and Dominic Zamprogna. Both had a great year! I’m really pulling for Bradford to finally win though. He deserves it and was great.
I’m surprised Casey Moss was left out in younger actor. I really want Bryan Craig to get it.
Younger Actress I don’t really care about lol
Congrats to all the nominees!
