Elizabeth Hendickson to GH!

According to Soap Opera Digest, Elizabeth Hendrickson is joining the cast of GH in a new role. This is quite surprising to me because it seems like why get Hendrickson if they could get Rebecca Budig back to play Hayden, whose departure is still annoying to fans? Not that Budig and Hendrickson are interchangeable by any means, but they have similar looks and at this point have played similar kinds of characters.

I think Hendrickson is going to be either a lawyer or some type of law enforcement officer — which makes no sense to me. My reaction is so predictable — why not bring her on as a doctor? GH already has plenty of lawyers, police officers, detectives, and special agents.
