Figured this would be more appreciated here, b/c of the soap connections. I for one am thrilled for this! Having ppl, even as maligned as JFP, who know the soap format in key positions is what this has going for it as opposed to those horrid MyNetwork TV ones. This could be the thing that get those “new viewers”, that the network soaps have desperately been trying to do, to appreciate the art form of serialized daily dramas.January 24, 2012 at 2:27 pm #420936
Yes, this was interesting and I think pleasant news. I’m pretty indifferent to JFP, although every time I remember Frankie’s murder on AW I roll my eyes, but it’s cool to have soap opera people doing this, with JFP as EP and Josh Griffith producing. I’ve been saying for years now that if something in a soapy format/production model were on at a time when people are actually home to watch it, it could do well. So here we go . . .January 24, 2012 at 2:44 pm #420937
I wonder if JFP will have some of her “pets” make an appearence (remember reading on either SON or DR, that Kale Brown was the voice on the hospital PA for yrs on GH!). And idk the behind-the-scenes aspects of their relationship, but I think this could be the perfect vehicle for Lexi Ainsworth.January 24, 2012 at 5:04 pm #420938
If she’s smart she calling Susan Lucci right nowJanuary 25, 2012 at 6:45 pm #420939
The fact that they have gotten JFP to produce worries me, she clearly knows very little about what soap audiences want. However, Josh Griffith is a very talented writer and I think he’ll do a good job.
I hope they do soap fans a solid and cast some “name” soap actors in roles on this show.January 25, 2012 at 6:46 pm #420940

Oh god yes, Jill’s pets! or as SOD/SOW used to call them “Friends Of Jill”. I guess that rules out any chance of a Jackie Zeman, Robin Strasser type on the show… she clearly hates red-heads.February 13, 2012 at 11:58 am #420941
Brittany Underwood (ex-Langston, OLTL) has landed a role on the series. No word on who she will play.March 14, 2012 at 8:45 pm #420942
Lots of casting and development news for this show. In addition to Brittany Underwood landing the lead role, joining her will be telenovela star Carlos Ponce, Cody Longo (ex-Nicholas, DAYS), newcomers Melissa Ordway and Justin Wilczynski, and new “Friend of Jill” James Franco (who is doing an guest arc). Things are developing quite nicely.
And given that this is the closet thing we have to a new soap, I am going to christen this the official thread for the show.May 30, 2012 at 10:26 pm #420944
A sneek peak of the series will air a wk. before the premiere for that entire week. I guess they are testing out the daily model.June 5, 2012 at 11:48 am #420946
Hmm . . . this isn’t something I’ll be tuning into. Seeing Brittany Underwood play a teenager again was fun enough, but of the cast I liked the girl who played her BFF. This is something that will appeal to the iCarly/Victorious audience.
