Linda Dano casted as Vivian on DOOL

Just read on soap opera digest online that Linda Dano has now been casted as Vivian. That poor character is just being twisted and turned. But I do think that Linda Dano could pull it off. She couldn’t possibly be as bad as Robin Strasser’s version at least. lol

Yeah, I don’t really know what DAYS is doing with Vivian now being recast again — based on the last two stints, it seems like continuing to bring her back time and again isn’t super necessary — but I’m not going to act like I don’t want to see what Linda Dano will do with the character.

Oh wow, Linda Dano, what ever happened to her? I remember when she was on Another World (Felicia was her name?). And then she starred on some talk show in the early 90s. I didn’t know she still did any acting.

I loved Robin Strasser’s version of Vivian. It will be nice seeing Linda Dano again though. I wonder why Louise Sorel isn’t coming back to the role???

At Louise’s age, it may not be safe for her to travel to act right now. I think you are one of very few who actually enjoyed Robin Strasser as Vivian. Robin Strasser is a capable actress, but she’s no Louise Sorel, and she was not Vivian. lol

In fairness to Ms. Strasser (whom I adore), the show was totally all in on her out-of-control portrayal of Vivian. The one thing I’ll always be glad for from her run was the way she pronounced Dr. Rolfe’s name, which was absolutely a Dorian Lord pronunciation, but still delighted me.

Robin won our Goldies award for Best Guest Performer so others apparently enjoyed her work as well as me!!!!

Still floored by this news! Linda Dano is soap royalty, and to see her make a return to daytime after all these years is so awesome!
As much as I’ll miss Louise Sorel’s Vivian (her last stint earlier in the year was much too short!), I can’t wait to see what Dano does with the role.
