Marci Miller Back to DAYS!

Apparently Marci Miller is returning to DAYS as Abigail! Daytime Confidential is reporting it now, though I first saw it in a cryptic tweet from Lamon Archey. I haven’t heard any details on the length of her stay, but I hope it’s long term. I suppose as long as DAYS can keep toggling the role between the same two actresses, the revolving door doesn’t bother me. Depending on when she shows up, this presents the very real possibility of Miller and Kate Mansi competing directly against one another at the Emmys next year, which would be fun.

I have been expecting this to happen. The two actresses are quite different – I often feel like they play different Abigails! It will be interesting to see where they go with it…

Yeah, the actresses play the character pretty differently, and the writers write her even more differently depending on who’s playing her. I’m waiting for the day when they can just keep both actresses on standby and switch them out storyline by storyline, haha.

Blond Abby made more sense when she was dark haired Gabby and when they brought dark haired Abby there wasn’t that visual switch to Gabby anymore

She’s very talented, but it’s very hard to break out of daytime. Not surprised that she is back. It’s a good steady paycheck, which is why a lot of the actors stay on soaps for years and years.

So the current rumor is that re-Ron wants to write a Chad/Abby/Stefan triangle again. Fans are pissed! As they should be. No one wants to see that storyline again!

Really hoping that rumor doesn’t come to pass. Not only did fans not like it the first time around, there’s no remotely believable way to get back into that triangle. It’s totally scorched earth.

not necessarily a triangle between stefan/abby/chad, but if abby isn’t getting better, and her DID is coming back, Gabby was in love with stefan, so we may not have a choice, but Marci Miller never worked with Brandon Barash, so we don’t know what their chemistry will be like either, i personally thought Marci Miller had great chemistry with Tyler Christopher, but Kate Mansi didn’t as much, even though she’s my preferred Abigail lol

It’ll be interesting to see Miller interact with Barash, but it would also feel very silly for them to have Abigail’s DID come back. But then, I guess they’ve also established that Kate Mansi’s Abigail more suffers from delusions, hallucinations and more garden variety mental illness, while Miller’s Abigail has multiple personalities. It just seems very dumb.
