Patrika Darbo and Kevin Spirtas Returning to DAYS

I just read on Daytime Confidential that Patrika Darbo and Kevin Spirtas will be returning to DAYS this month as Nancy and Craig Wesley!

I believe a return for Patrika had been reported before, and it’s always exciting to see Nancy back on the show, but this is the first I’d heard of Kevin being back. When he guested on the Soap Opera Digest podcast a while back, talking mostly about After Forever, he did say he’d love to bring Craig back to Salem, and I’ve been hoping for it ever since. I don’t know what the intended length of the return is, but I hope they’re around for a while. Craig challenging Kayla at the hospital would be a really fun story.

Aside from Craig and Nancy being great characters, it’ll be nice for Chloe to have her parents around during this trying time of thinking Phillip is missing and this will hopefully remedy one of the dumbest things currently happening on the show, which is Nancy and Craig basically raising Parker off screen.

I’m liking this. Those two were what made the teen scene enjoyable back in the day.

Great news! Love EmmyLoser’s idea of Craig butting heads with Kayla in the hospital. It seems like Ron really likes Kayla and Steve but I’m concerned about the “happy couple syndrome” and writing them out. A story like this would be awesome.

Fantastic news! Darbo and Spirtas share a very special chemistry that is not easily replicable, and it’ll be wonderful seeing these two vets reunite on-screen again!
