Alison did great stuff with all the breakdown scenes wanting Will to get his memories back before she left. How she destroyed the room and cried into the pillow. I thought the bulk of her scenes would have been good for supporting. Yet I think the committee didn’t want to reward her for 2 months of work where another actress would have done that amount work in 3-6 months of storytelling. I dunno just a thought.

I’m also kind of shocked Christopher Sean got snubbed too. He, too, the 2nd half of 2017 was wonderful and enduring in scenes dealing with the break-up with Sonny. Plus no Robert Scott Wilson yet again. The wedding stuff and interrogation scenes with JJ, omg, so good.

Special Guest Nomination will be interesting.
I hope at least see T-Boz on that list! LOL.

I think another reason Days got so many prenominations was because of the writing change.

Most of Higleys work based off the nominations: Zucker, Gering, Evans, Nichols, Searchy, Lastorvic, Keegan and Brojlin.

Most of Ron’s work based on the nominations: Vaughan, Flynn, Miller, Konefal, Adams, Moss and Reynolds.

Just got wind of the list of pre-noms!

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood!!! Susan Hayes!!!! YES YES YES!!!!

Arianne Zucker… finally! Interesting she chose to go supporting. Not what I expected, but I get the logic behind that decision.

I take a bow to our Queen Eileen for scoring double pre-noms!! Go Eileen! Could she make history for being the first actress receive double noms in the same year for roles on two different shows?

The Lead Actress line-up looks somewhat bleak without my favorite B&B ladies in the mix. No Katherine Kelly Lang or Heather Tom?? I feel KKL especially would’ve had a great shot this year. I wonder what happened?

And hmmm… no Deidre Hall. I admit I was concerned her submissions might be a bit too subtle for voters to really appreciate. Plus, this category is always such a bloodbath I don’t think she’d have stood much of a chance at winning. Hope very much that next year she has better luck. Big congrats though to Judi Evans! Going Lead sure was a gutsy move but it might pay off!

Uh oh. No Don Diamont. At least John McCook and Scott Clifton very deservingly made it in. And wow, only one lead actor from Y&R prenommed?! I don’t think that’s ever happened before. Looks like EmmyLoser called it with James Reynolds going Lead!

Nice to see some love thrown Stephen Nichols’ way. I wonder what Galen Gering submitted? Michael Easton going Lead is a pleasant surprise; the more I think about it the more that decision makes sense.
This is such a competitive category this year but I’ll be rooting hard for Scott!

I had a feeling Melody Thomas Scott and Eric Braeden would be absent from the list (both probably chose not to submit) but I am shocked that Amelia Heinle and Joshua Morrow didn’t make the cut. They had a fantastic year and a lot of material to submit. Really nice seeing Melissa Claire Egan recognized though. Lisa LoCicero and Nadia Bjorlin are two other sweet surprises I truly didn’t expect!

The performers we are surprised that didn’t make it on the list may very well have decided not to submit. Unless we know they did submit then it can’t be considered a snub.

the final nominees are usually disappointing in that my very favorites don’t make it but this year there are very few who would annoy me if they made it in over others.

Rooting so hard for Judi Evans, Greg Vaughan, Chandler Massey, Billy Flynn, Marla Adams, Camryn Grimes, Eileen Davidson, Casey Moss!!!!

Nice to see some love thrown Stephen Nichols’ way. I wonder what Galen Gering submitted?

All kidding aside and thinking about Emmy politics, I think Galen turned in the breakup/argument scenes between him and Kristian that lead to Rafe eventually having the one night stand with Sami. I mean, in terms of writing, that was good. But still, I’ve never been woo’d by Galen’s acting. He plays soap hunk and decent soap hero decent but I find him hammy and sometimes he can be scene chew-ish. Evidently, someone was wow’d enough to give him a prenom over Datillo and Diamont. No tea, no shade, I really hope he doesn’t make the final list.

Casey Moss for the win!!! He has been overlooked every year for a nomination, just like Kate Mansi was overlooked every year until her first nomination and win, here’s hoping history repeats itself. 🙂

This is the best list of pre-nominations I have seen in years. Go Days! So happy to see that they scored so many acting nods.

    Lead Actor
I’m especially happy to see Billy Flynn on the list. Also happy to see that the GH nominees, Michael Easton and Billy Miller, are the ones portraying non-criminals.

    Lead Actress
Super excited to see Judi Evans on the list. Also happy to see Sharon Case and Eileen Davidson. And even though I am not a GH fan these days, Nancy Lee Grahn, Laura Wright, and Maura West clearly earned their nominations. Interesting that B&B was shut out of this category.

    Supporting Actor
Great to see Greg Vaughan finally get some recognition and nice to see Chandler Massey as a candidate. Always nice to see recognition for Darin Brooks, Chad Duell, and Wally Kurth.

    Supporting Actress
Excited to see Marla Adams, Eileen Davidson, Camryn Grimes, Mishael Morgan, and Arianne Zucker. I’m surprised that Jacqueline MacInnes Wood went supporting, but happy to see her as well. I love Lisa LoCicero and even though she did not have much story, I’m happy to see her on the list. And how about Susan Hayes! Due to her limited airtime, I did not think of her as an option, but great to see a daytime legend getting some love.

    Young Actress
I have the least investment in this list. It was pretty much as expected. Cool to see Victoria Konefal make the cut even though she is a newcomer.

    Young Actor
Casey Moss! At last. Also very happy to see the talented Lucas Adams among the contenders in this category.

As always, some of the year’s most memorable performers are missing: Deidre Hall, Alison Sweeney, Lauren Koslow, Bryan Datillo, Robert Scott Wilson, Christopher Sean, Freddie Smith, Amelia Heinle, Daniel Goddard, and others. But I am not complaining, given how many of my faves are on the list.

It would be great if Eileen Davidson were nominated in both Lead Actress and Supporting Actress!

I think that multi-soap veterans have a slight advantage. Eileen Davidson, Melissa Claire Egan, Sharon Case, Judi Evans, Mary Beth Evans, Nancy Lee Grahn, Kelly Monaco, Laura Wright, Gina Tognoni, Peter Bergman, Michael Easton, Scott Clifton, Galen Gering, Eric Martsolf, John McCook, Billy Miller, James Reynolds, Stephen Nichols, Marla Adams, Susan Hayes, Elizabeth Hendrickson, Darin Brooks, Steve Burton, Wally Kurth, James Patrick Stuart, Greg Vaughan, and Hayley Erin have all appeared on at least 2 soaps. Actors who appeared on two or more existing soaps may have an even greater advantage, especially if the runs were recent or concurrent, such as is the case with Eileen Davidson, Wally Kurth, and Steve Burton.

Looking forward to seeing the final nominations list and the reels. I am not yet ready to hazard a guess at possible winners.

I am just so pleased with this list of pre-nominees! With the exceptions of Deidre and Freddie, who we know submitted, I will just try to believe the others chose not to submit this year and weren’t actually snubbed.

Judi Evans moving to lead means I can root for Marla Adams in supporting! (:

I always want a few never before nominated performers to make it, so for me Greg Vaughan, Marla Adams, Michael Easton, and Casey Moss are performers I am rooting particularly to see them get their first ever nominations! (:

Yes! One positive aspect of this year’s list is that there are some new faces. It’s nice to spread the wealth rather than repeatedly award the same actors.

I wonder if Finola submitted. Between the scenes with Robin where she’s diagnosed with PV, the scenes with Finn where she tells him how Robin got AIDS and the scenes where Anna confronts Alex, she easily could have pieced together a strong enough reel to be nominated in either lead or supporting. She would have even been competitive for the win. How could she miss the prenom list?

I hope Maura submits the scenes where Sonny and Carly confront Ava about switching Morgan’s meds that ends with Ava getting caught in the fire. I don’t see how she could lose with those eps.

Kinda suprised I don’t see any B&B actress in Lead…anyways I hope to see Judi nominated but like Fairman said on his podcast…if MW submits 2 of the 3 reels from 2017 that I think she will..she has a big chance of winning.
