Just saw this sad news. So many losses in such a short time. In recent years he has been a guest several times on The Locher Room. Ross Marler and Clint Buchanan. Very sad news ):

A consummate actor who had intense chemistry with so many co-stars. Ross & Carrie and Ross & Blake were two of my favorite stories ever, and of course he was the centerpiece of the classic Election Day episode. A sad passing, but we celebrate his accomplishments.

I’ll remember his great run on GL. He was badly miscast on OLTL.

Jerry ver Dorn has always been and always will be one of my favorite soap actors. He spent 26 years on GL as attorney Ross Marler and won 2 Emmys (1995 and 1996) for playing this great character created by Bridget and Jerome Dobson. Then years later he joined OLTL as Clint Buchanan and had a great 8 years on there. He had some great chemistry with costars such as Michael Zaslow, Tom O’Rourke, Jane Elliott, Rebecca Hollen, Wendy Moniz, Sherry Stringfield, Liz Keifer, Kurt McKinney, Maureen Garrett, Chris Bernau, Erika Slezak, Bree Williamson, Robert S. Woods, Melissa Archer, Robin Strasser, Phil Carey, and John Paul Laviser. He will be missed by fans of both incredible showd. My condolences to his family and friends. I hope Alan Locher pays tribute to this incredible actor. He deserves it so much.

A very sad loss. I was much more familiar with his time as OLTL’s Clint than as GL’s Ross. The highlight of that Clint run for me was the fun and memorable marriage between Clint and Amanda Setton’s Kimberly. There have been a lot of losses in the daytime community of late.

At first yes, but he really shined in the role once Clint turned to the dark side post Asa’s death.

So sorry to hear of Jerry verDorn’s passing and that he had been battling cancer. I was always struck by his great screen presence and natural chemistry with so many of his co-stars, especially Liz Keifer (Ross and Blake were one of my favorite GL pairings).
