Lisa Brown, revered as Nola Reardon on Guiding Light and Iva Snyder on As the World Turns, has passed away after a short illness at age 67.

Oh my, this is such sad news ) I have been hoping for Lisa to appear on The Locher Room and now I know why she hasn’t appeared, she’s been ill. This is so incredibly sad ):

Lisa Brown was the actress who got me hooked on Guiding Light, and then I watched her on As the World Turns. Such an amazing actress – I loved her so much. I am in shock. R.I.P. beautiful Lisa Brown. I will listen to The Rankin Family’s “Lisa Brown” song and watch clips of Nola and Iva. So incredibly sad ):

Very sad. I absolutely loved her. Her chemistry with Maeve Kinkaid (Vanessa) on GL, and Martha Byrne (Lily) on ATWT, were legendary. I was sad that GL really didn’t use her well in the mid- to late-90s.

Crazy to think that she passed away only a few months after Michael Tylo (Quint). They made a great couple.

    Rest in peace.

At the end of today’s interview with Christian LeBlanc on the Locher Room Alan has included a beautiful tribute with several wonderful clips from Guiding Light and As the World Turns featuring the legendary Lisa Brown – and he also is hoping to do a tribute episode for her in the future. R.I.P. beautiful Lisa Brown…
