The actor was 69 years old. He was on 9 different soaps, beginning with Joe Novak on Ryan’s Hope and is well remembered for his villain Mitch Laurence on One Life To Live, was Emmy nominated for Santa Barbara, was also on The Young and the Restless, Days Of Our Lives, All My Children, Passions and two other soaps. He had enormous chemistry with his co-stars. I particularly loved the work he did with Marg Helgenberger on Ryan’s Hope and Robin Strasser on One Life To Live. He will be missed.

Roscoe Born was second only to Michael Zaslow in creating one of the most charismatic villains in all of daytime. His voice was as smooth as cognac and his eyes made you want to sin. May he dream with angels.

Very sad and surprising news. When I saw his picture in my Twitter feed, I thought it was because he was going to pop up on one of the current soaps. It’s a great loss of an incredible talent.

Such heartbreaking news. Yet another stark reminder for anyone out there who’s struggling and feels like there’s no way out, to please seek help. Being proactive about caring for one’s mental health is so vital to one’s overall sense of well-being. Lean on others for support, but most importantly, believe in yourself and that the power for positive change rests within you. There’s always a light at the end of the tunnel if you choose to look for it.

This is such sad news. May he rest in piece. I loved him as Terrible Tom on Y&R.

I was a huge fan of his work. In particular his work on AMC and OLTL. This is very sad. May he rest in peace.
