Eileen Davidson wasn’t the only soap star to recently announce a return to her former home. Hunter Tylo is returning to The Bold and the Beautiful starting February 28. It’s good Taylor will be back, and it was kind of weird that she left when she did. Here’s the story from Daytime Confidential: http://daytimeconfidential.zap2it.com/2014/01/28/confirmed-hunter-tylo-returns-to-the-bold-and-the-beautiful-feb-28January 30, 2014 at 7:45 am #425842
Well, of course she is. It’s time for yet another decade of Brooke-Ridge-Taylor and this time, with new actor, they’re gonna at least check out the chemistry. It would be so weird kind of exit if she wouldn’t return so I’m happy plus without Stephanie it’s Taylor who is the most natural “enemy” of Brooke and the longest standing cast member besides K. K. Lang and John McCook. At least now they have time and opportunity to revisit Darla’s death as Ally is in her late teens and all.January 30, 2014 at 8:11 am #425843
Yes, and I just read that Darla will also be back for at least three episodes in March and April, I guess as a ghost or a vision:
Hot on the heels of the news of Hunter Tylo’s (Taylor) February 28 return to B&B, TV Guide reports that Schae Harrison
(ex-Darla) will also be coming home for a spell. Harrison, whose
character died in a 2006 hit-and-run accident, is back for at least
three episodes, airing March 18, March 25 and April 7. The deceased
Forrester will appear to her recently aged daughter Alexandria, played
by newcomer Ashlyn Pearce. To read more, click here.January 30, 2014 at 11:05 am #425844
Ummm. I thought I just read that she was only coming back for the one day and it’s to kick off some storyline regarding Allie and Darla. I certainly do not want to see her botexed-face every day.January 31, 2014 at 3:15 am #425845
This is wonderful news! Glad you chimed in here, Jake, as I know you’ve been a champion for the longest time of the idea of the show addressing Darla’s death with a grown-up Allie. Now that Allie has been aged and Hunter Tylo is returning, along with Schae Harrison even making a few guest appearances down the road, it looks like B&B is on its way to granting your wish!
Even if, right now, it’s looking to be more of a short-term stint, I still think it was a wise decision for the show to bring back Tylo now, sooner rather than later; doing so will also allow them to address Taylor’s awkward exit last July, which did leave a lot of loose ends untied, especially in the realm of Taylor and Eric’s blossoming relationship that was put abruptly on stand-by. But the writing on B&B has been SO good especially over the past year, that I can easily forgive this roadblock as just a minor wrinkle in the overall story canvas, one in which I have every faith will be all ironed out perfectly in the weeks following Taylor’s big return.January 31, 2014 at 7:28 am #425846

I don’t know how long the return is supposed to be. The stuff I’d read made it sound like she was actually coming back rather than just showing up for an episode or two, but I didn’t see anything specifc. I don’t watch B&B regularly anyway, so I don’t really care that much either way, but I like the idea of tuning in more if Taylor is around than if she isn’t, botoxed face notwithstanding. I do know what you mean, though. The last time Lisa Rinna showed up at DAYS, whatever she’d done to her face was so awfully distracting. It look about a month for it to go back to moving in a somewhat normal way. Either that, or I just got used to it.February 7, 2014 at 7:09 am #425847
Alokin, thanks you remembered! It looks like they are coming to this storyline so there’s hope. Although there was a lot of potential about Hope and Deacon reunion but it turned out to be all about Bill anyway. The girl that plays Ally is ok but she is nothing like either Thorne or Darla which is a little bit of shame. If it would depend on me, I would turn Ally into someone really hunted by what happened and being sweet and nice like Darla was but only not around Taylor. It would lead to some great conflicts as Taylor is well loved among Forresters but Ally is a Forrester and Eric’s only blood-related granddaughter. Maybe even some catastrophic event as she goes slightly nuts… It’s such a long time since we had someone like Morgan or especially deeply missed Sheila. Maybe with Pamela a little bit but it was all about pills so that’s not the same.
Anyway, Ally is all nice and ok but she has yet to show her strength (from what I saw) and that’s the great time to use it. That storyline re:Darla’s death really affected me because I loved Darla as a character and she was great balance of real life and sweetness when compared to what was going on elsewhere.
