Was it just me or yesterday did it seem like Carly and Sonny when discussing Dev were acting more like they had to put their rescue dog down because it had been hit by a car and not that a bright teenager in their care who had his whole life ahead of him had violently died? Take what Carly said to Sonny when he told her and replace Dev’s name with Scraps and see how it reads.
ReplyCopy URLNovember 24, 2020 at 9:16 pm #1203870064^^^I fully agree, it was very muted and a little bizarre. Carly’s attempts to comfort Sonny (which honestly seemed unnecessary based on his reaction) were mostly her patting Sonny and herself on the back for what she perceived as rescuing Dev and, hey, these two years were more than he would have had otherwise. Why not just let Cam, a person who actually had an on-screen relationship with Dev, be the person to ride in the ambulance and experience his last moments? Was it really worthwhile just to have Dev waste his last breathe thanking Sonny? It’s all part of the show’s inability to let Sonny be responsible for the misery he causes. Even in today’s episode, where he started to feel bad about not protecting Dev as a member of his today, Sonny ends up in a position to do his favorite thing and blame it all on Julian.
Can I also say how insanely dumb Cyrus’s plan was and, further, how bad he seems to have gotten at executing since getting out of prison? This is his second attempt to kill Jason. The first was close to working, with Jason ending up in the hospital, but this one was completely botched because blowing up a restaurant to kill one person who might be there is idiotic. He has also, in recent weeks, attempted to kill Ryan, who still clings to life at GH; attempted to kill Brad, who currently is still alive with apparently an excellent prognosis; and test driven a new product on Sasha, which would have been pretty smart had he not taken her back to his apartment to do it.
Still, riveting episodes.

I just fixed your paragraph.

ReplyCopy URLNovember 26, 2020 at 5:35 pm #1203876249Is the show trying to pair Alexis and Valentin? They’re not actually related but it still feels incestuous!
I’ll never understand why the show never tried pairing Jax & Alexis. I always liked their chemistry.
ReplyCopy URLNovember 26, 2020 at 9:40 pm #1203876648Nancy Lee Grahn and Ingo Rademacher had a MASSIVE falling out over him being a right wing pos. I don’t think anyone wants to have them work together. His Twitter is hot garbage.
ReplyCopy URLNovember 30, 2020 at 6:48 am #1203884274I enjoy the Alexis/Valentin friendship, and given that he just the other day said something to the effect of “we may not share blood, but you’ll always be my sister,” I don’t get the impression they’re thinking of pairing them romantically. Valentin also has several other irons in the fire with his undying love for Nina, his whole thing with Anna (people seem more on board with her being with Valentin than Finn in the longer term) and apparently having knocked up BLQ.
ReplyCopy URLNovember 30, 2020 at 9:55 am #1203884772Alexis and Valentin playing a card game (poker?) based on which of them had the craziest things happen to them- like running over daughters boyfriend, helping agent’s evil twin, etc (and Alexis mostly winning) – was one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time. Great writing.
ReplyCopy URLDecember 2, 2020 at 8:30 am #1203889391So now Martin Grey is involved with Cyrus? Oh boy. Maybe we could get rid of both at once. I like that the show had Valentin fire Martin, who is I guess exclusively a lawyer for villains? Valentin can’t have that stink on him now.
ReplyCopy URLDecember 3, 2020 at 8:14 am #1203891804Sonny and Carly are both acting like lunatics. Carly’s speeches about prioritizing keeping her kids safe sound completely insane. I know this isn’t new, but it feels especially egregious in an episode where other characters are acknowledging and questioning the danger they’re in because of associating with Sonny and Jason. And Sonny’s rage-boner for Julian keeps completely distracting him from the fact that Cyrus was ultimately behind the bombing and maybe he should do something about that. For as much as these people like to call Julian a coward, Sonny wanting to track down and kill Julian, and then failing to do that, sit around and just badmouth Julian, is really the easy route here. Why deal with an actual threat when you can just menace a man with no crew or backup?
ReplyCopy URLDecember 3, 2020 at 9:30 am #1203891999Kudos to the writers lately! With the exceptions of how they write for Sonny and Sam I have really been impressed with the high quality of the writing of the show!
Glad to see Laura will be on again today! David Hamilton was actually 45 years ago, not 40. 40 years ago was Frank Smith – could Cyrus be related to him or could he be the one who is alive?
Loved having Tracy back for a visit!!!!
ReplyCopy URLDecember 4, 2020 at 9:24 am #1203894181I thought that storyline was 1975 but perhaps it was ’77 or ’78??? Not 100% certain. 1980 was the Frank Smith story.
So now I am thinking Martin Grey is more involved in it all than we are being led to believe..
GH is my very favorite hour each weekday!!!!
