the show was on today where I live. I feel bad for Brad – what he did was wrong but it was for ‘good’ reasons. I really hope that whatever consequences he faces when the truth does come out are not permanent. I wonder if he will tell Lucas or if it will come out in some other way?
So that’s it for Hayden (for now)?
Olbrecht and Brad were great today!
I really hope Valentin is gone soon and that it is permanent!November 27, 2019 at 1:49 pm #1203206283
Yeah but it’s been pre empted twice in the last two weeks so it’s gonna take a hot second to get everything reset again.December 2, 2019 at 8:04 am #1203211650
Yeah, I think you’re right in your guessing of when the Thanksgiving episode will air, Sean. Hopefully they’ll be back on track by Christmas, but even that might be a little off.December 2, 2019 at 8:06 am #1203211660
It usually gets back on track in about a month’s time barring further preemptions.December 2, 2019 at 8:48 am #1203211732
Very upset about Parry Shen’s impending departure ): Brad and Lucas are my favorite couple. I have enjoyed their storyline – it’s better than no story at all, which was the case for quite awhile – but I sort of knew it could break them up ): Kudos to Parry though for really great performances this past year (:December 2, 2019 at 4:07 pm #1203212438
Today’s ending was distressing: is this the end of Brad? He FINALLY tells Lucas the truth about Wiley – will Lucas remember it? Will Brad survive the crash? I will be really upset if Brad is killed off…
The episode was pretty good, enjoyed Brook Lynn and Lulu’s confrontation and another Pizza thanksgiving for the Quartermaines.December 3, 2019 at 8:24 am #1203213467
That ending would have made a great cliffhanger for the long weekend. With Brad only just admitting the truth to Lucas, I would hope they’d both survive the crash to experience further repercussions from that. Hopefully the only person this takes off the board is Kendra, which is certainly for the best. It seems odd and frustrating that the writers have now had Julian just casually cut the breaks to Brad’s car. A few weeks ago, he decided he couldn’t kill Obrecht because he’s a better person than that. I guess now that Kim, who has no moral authority over anyone at this point, has left and told him that’s he was only pretending to be a better person, he’s broken? It just bugs me that the show so casually throws his character under the bus so often. Interesting, though, that his act of reckless and life-threatening sabotage (honestly, even knowing Wiley and Lucas weren’t home, cutting the brakes on a car that his son and grandson could easily end up in is very careless) is going to endanger his son but probably also save Alexis’s life. (Kudos to Nancy Lee Grahn, who truly looked like she’s been given a paralytic drug throughout the episode.)
Brook Lyn and Lulu fighting was great. Giving Lulu a fun antagonist makes her character a thousand times more fun to watch. I like that Olivia actually did successfully cook a Thanksgiving meal at the Quartermaine house and it was then ruined by Monica giving it away behind her back, another act that was done so casually despite it being pretty extreme. I get that Monica is clinging to the idea that FrankenDrew can give her some motherly joy and she wanted him to experience a typical Q Thanksgiving, but given what Olivia is going through with Dante, it feels very cruel that Monica took that win away from her. Not to mention that Monica was trying to get everyone fighting. Probably they’ll just act like this is all fine and what Monica’s been doing, both today and throughout this storyline, is perfectly understandable, but really I think she should be talking to a therapist or something.December 3, 2019 at 3:45 pm #1203214524
I somehow missed that Julian had tampered with the brakes. Interesting tht it is Lucas who is in surgery and Brad is fine. I wonder if Lucas will remember what Brad told him?
I guess I will read Maurice Benard’s autobiography, despite not liking him. I doubt it will be no-holds barred, since he is still on the show.
Is there a reason that Kelly Monaco is taking a break from the show? I am not complaining, I don’t like Sam, but it’s weird having this long respite from her damsel in distressing…December 3, 2019 at 5:50 pm #1203214797
Oh Brad’s dunzo…he’s in a trauma room which as anyone who has seen Grey’s knows can go tits up quick.December 4, 2019 at 2:44 am #1203215220
I will be furious if they kill Brad ): He’s an important character and part of my favorite couple. Soaps sure are making it hard to keep them alive and well lately ):December 4, 2019 at 10:27 am #1203216334
I’m not sure what’s up with Kelly Monaco. Maybe she’s in contract negotiations or something? She was vocal in how annoyed she was about what the show did with Billy Miller/Drew.
LOL, as a person who’s rarely watched Grey’s Anatomy, I didn’t know what to make of Brad being in the trauma room, but Chase seemed think Julian should be at least a little concerned.
I’m not saying I want Kristina to go into a spiral or anything, but do people need to be so insistent that she’s not to blame for what happened to Alexis? This should be a lesson for her about considering the consequences of her actions. This is the second time in the last few weeks that a ‘good’ character has been let off the hook for doing something irresponsible that put someone they loved in danger, the other time being when people bent over backwards to tell Lulu it wasn’t her fault that Cassandra kidnapped Charlotte, when in fact, Lulu should have been paying enough attention to know someone was approaching her daughter and then sneaking off with her.December 4, 2019 at 12:12 pm #1203216900
I haven’t been happy with the writing for Ava lately. Today’s “ghost” visit from Nikolas is a case in point – Ava is a strong woman not a weak one. I love Maura but this constant dumping on her character is not fun to watch.
How about Julian feeling GUILTY for harming his son? He acts like it’s Brad’s fault rather than his own. Good grief!
Glad to see Bobbie today and glad she wheeled in Brad to see his husband too.December 5, 2019 at 11:33 am #1203218717
It’s funny seeing Julian, Carly and Bobbie in scenes together. Most of the times, Julian is in the age group with Carly, Sonny, Alexis, etc., but here he and Bobbie are Lucas’s parents where Carly is his sister, making him seem a generation above. Soaps are full of these little funny things, but they usually don’t highlight them.
Anywho, great work by William deVry yesterday, though I really want Julian to be more sorry, not just that he accidentally injured his son, but that he did this in the first place. Maybe he’ll get there. I guess the ship on him and Brad going back to being pals has sailed, although honestly Brad should have made smarter decisions in dealing with Julian to begin with.
Also, it seems silly to be taking several days to tell us whether or not Willow is pregnant.December 14, 2019 at 4:04 pm #1203236369
Ava seems to be returning to herself the last few episodes and I am thrilled. I liked her killing them with kindness in her scenes with those awful Carly and Sonny. I think her teaming up with Nina works better with Cynthia Watros since there are no memories of Michelle Stafford’s Nina being such a criminal during Avery’s birth.
I just really want Valentin gone from the show or recast ASAP!
Are they painting Peter into too much of a corner?
Sam is back ): Oh well, all good things come to an end on this show!
Who else thinks Shiloh is alive? Did we ever see a recovered dead body? Of course on this show that wouldn’t matter! (;
I was happy to see Nicolas Bechtel’s picture as Spencer on Nikolas’s screen – hope that means he is still in the role and they won’t recast with a SORAS’d actor….
