I’ve been enjoying the Sonny/“Mike” scenes a lot lately…
on fast forward.March 15, 2021 at 12:12 pm #1204135672
I keep wondering if they will do a Murder on the Orient Express murder of Peter, where everybody takes turns murdering him!!! (; I just hope they don’t drag the story out for too much longer…
Josh Swickard has been doing great work as Chase works out his feelings about the Finn/Jackie situation – I would have felt cheated if Gregory had been the biological father so I am glad that this far more interesting storyline is being pursued.
I wish Alexis would hire Nora Buchanan as her lawyer!!!March 16, 2021 at 7:23 am #1204137897

LOL! It is funny how the powers that be at GH act like Sonny is the character the show can’t live without, but everything in Port Charles is going gangbusters without him, while the Mike scenes are more or less a waste of time.
The Finn paternity reveal was good, and I have been glad that Josh Swickard is getting juicier material. Chase and Willow are really cute helping each other through their different crises. It’s like getting doused with cold water every time Willow leaves scenes with Chase to be in scenes with Michael.
Speaking of Michael, Valentin offering him enough proxy votes to regain control of ELQ in exchange for letting Nina see Wiley was a little shocking. But I guess Val didn’t expect Michael to take the deal, more that he wanted to use it as a jumping off point for negotiating. The thing that’s bugging me about the story is that everyone, even Ava, is acting like Nina is unhinged for mentioning Nelle, who spent several months having visits with Wiley and telling him she’s his mom! I know it’s a hard situation for Willow, but it feels slightly irresponsible for them all to be following Carly’s lead and pretending Nelle never existed.
Thrilled to see Brook Lyn back!
Also, this Peter story is going to drag on forever. It seems like they’ve basically established that Jason, Anna, Valentin, Jordan, etc. will never find evidence of Peter committing all the crimes he framed Liesl for or prove his involvement in Drew’s abduction and the Shiloh connection and all that nonsense, and now we just have to wait for them to prove that he killed Franco.March 16, 2021 at 1:03 pm #1204138954
Happy that Maxie is staying resolute with crazy Peter. She needs to change those locks pronto! I have a bad feeling they are going to drag the story out when most of us would be happier for it to end immediately.
How did I not know that Zander was Cam’s bio dad??? Looking back I remember Zander but I don’t think I watched the show much in 2004, when Zander died and I assume Cam was born??? East coast soaps beckoned to me back then! I must have watched in 2002 and 2003 though because those are my memories of Chad Brannon’s Zander.
I guess I would be happy for Alexis to be sentenced to mandatory rehab if there is such a sentence.March 17, 2021 at 12:52 pm #1204141306
Other than Carly being totally annoying – today’s episode was especially poignant. I really loved the clips of Franco and Liz’s courtship in particular. I rooted for them in a way that was unique and extra special. So much of this episode was great. Although I am not looking forward to more Peter now teamed up with Cyrus ): But I do think they will have Peter get murdered down the line…
It was nice seeing Jake and Aiden today too. I was struck by how much all 3 of the boys resembled Elizabeth. Franco sure had a lot of female friendships!March 18, 2021 at 8:07 am #1204143017
I agree, the episode was mostly really nice, though it gets very annoying having to get Carly’s gloss on everything happening with any relation to her. It was also irritating that the show is going deep into Carly’s grief over losing Sonny, who we know is alive, months after he’s disappeared, when you know the show is not going to give a hoot about Elizabeth’s grief for very long. And Joss needing to specify to Carly that she’s not going to honor Franco but to support Cam was also annoying. I get that Franco did a bunch of terrible things, including to Carly on what was supposed to be their wedding day after he caught her cheating on him with Sonny, but also he’s her friend’s dad who saved his life and a bunch of other people at this point, so it just seemed like the writers bowing down to Carly needlessly.
Anyway, all the stuff surrounding Franco’s memorial was very moving, and it was really nice to see Jake and Aiden again. These poor boys and the way they lose fathers.
I hope Peter and Cyrus accidentally shoot each other in the throat.March 18, 2021 at 1:03 pm #1204143672
So is Cynthia Watros leaving the show??? Or just a tempororary leave-taking for the character of Nina??? Confused…
Dante, pull the darn trigger already!!!!! and make sure it’s Peter and not somebody else!!!
Michael Easton has been doing great work in his storyline. Quiet strength in his acting choices.March 19, 2021 at 5:31 am #1204144846
I really liked the Finn/Anna scenes. I enjoy them together, but that kind of got to the heart of why they weren’t really compatible in some ways.
Brando’s new haircut looks great.
I don’t know of Cynthia Watros leaving the show. I was surprised when Nina said that she was getting out of town, though I certainly get it. But then I thought maybe she’ll go see Phyllis and find Sonny, which would be interesting. The timing would be good, since we’re getting a big dose of Carly grief this week.
Speaking of Carly giving people grief, how was she just allowed to stay in the interrogation room that whole time with Jason, Diane, and Jordan? Jordan should have thrown her out of there.March 19, 2021 at 10:04 am #1204145170
Watros isn’t leaving. Without getting too spoiler heavy she’s staying on canvas but isn’t in Port Charles for a bit…March 20, 2021 at 9:53 am #1204146820
Disappointed to learn that Michael Corbett was almost cast as Finn and Chase’s father on GH – Gregory Harrison is o.k., but Corbett would have been extraordinary! (He’s one of my all-time favorites – Michael Pavel on RH, Warren Carter on SFT, and David Kimble on Y&R).
Can we please have a moratorium on paternity switch stories on soaps??? Hated Cyrus’s flashback scene and am hoping that Finn really is Chase’s father…
So Nina will likely seek revenge on Carly by not letting her know that Sonny is alive?? Personally I wish Sonny was dead but whatever!
I wish they would bring Delia on at least for a guest stint – Ilene Kristen is such a hoot in the role!March 22, 2021 at 8:33 am #1204150632
With ‘Mike’ mentioning the faceless blond woman from his dreams the other day, I’m wondering if Nina will do a little more than just keep Sonny away from Carly, though what a gross thought.
This alliance between Peter and Cyrus has already become completely insufferable. I know it was technically the right thing to do, but honestly Sam should have just minded her own business and let Dante kill Peter. Did she rush over there out of concern for Peter? All she knew was that Peter thought Maxie wanted to meet with him but it wasn’t really her. I absolutely would not have gotten involved. I also don’t love that Cyrus fiddled with the paternity test results, but at least they told us about it pretty quickly.
Actually, with Peter, Cyrus, Carly and Sonny all on, Friday was kind of a rough one. Carly going to Liz’s house to yell at her about Jason not killing Franco immediately after Franco’s memorial was so hypocritical after the way Carly reacted to Nina’s outbursts at Sonny’s funeral, but that’s classic Carly. It felt especially cruel to Elizabeth because whether Liz thinks Jason killed Franco or not is kind of immaterial to her true and factual statement to the police. I’m sure it will be helpful to Jason to not have Elizabeth telling people that Jason killed her husband, but it could have waited a day or two.March 23, 2021 at 11:10 am #1204153172
Great ending yesterday! Also it was nice seeing Chase have half a conversation with Michael and reconnecting with Brook Lynn.
Also, it’s kind of comical at this point how much this show hates Julian. He’s been dead for five months, and still Olivia seems infuriated by just the mention of his name.March 23, 2021 at 1:05 pm #1204153364
So it looks like Nina has done the decent thing and called Carly but Carly will be her usual snarky horrible self and won’t let Nina tell her!!!
I just love William Lipton!!! He has been slaying it!!!
I love that Ava speaks for those of us who are fed up with Carly and tells her the truth and nothing but about her snarky horrible self!!!
Nice seeing Martin again. Glad he has stuck around and they have started to give him some story here and there!
I have forgotten: when are the Daytime Emmy nominations going to be announced???March 23, 2021 at 1:26 pm #1204153396
Re: Julian, to be fair he DID plant a bomb that killed people and put Lulu in a coma so… not like he went out a hero.
