They didn’t include any actors in the flashbacks that weren’t already in the episode. Even the flashbacks about Julian just featured Nancy & Ingo. No Constance Towers, Tony Geary, Maurice Benard, William deVry, Carolyn Hennessy, Tyler Christopher, Rick Hearst, Stephen Nichols, Steve Burton, Sarah Brown, Tamara Braun or Laura Wright. It was probably just a contract/budget issue.
Absolutely stellar, breathtaking performance from NLG (with amazing support from Lindstrom) and lovely, well-done episode all around. I love that they framed the episode with the Alexis/Kevin therapy sessions and the Mikkos/Kristin flashbacks. And I love that even though the subject matter was so dark, their was still so much light and hope in this episode.
It’s so sad that young Alexis saw her father beat the crap out of her mother and then saw her stepmother slit her mother’s throat. No wonder she’s such a hot mess!
How are they gonna get Alexis out of Pentonville? Pardon? And how are they gonna reinstate her law license?April 8, 2021 at 4:08 pm #1204187158
One nitpick: Molly’s tassel should have been purple not gold. That’s the law tassel in graduation regalia. But at least it was a doctoral gown.April 8, 2021 at 4:19 pm #1204187175
Also bless the cast and crew of GH and a presidential news conference for making this a Rex Manning Day to remember…April 9, 2021 at 6:55 am #1204187961
It was really nice to see Alexis come out of the episode having resolved some real trauma from her past and seemingly found the purpose with helping her new cellmate with her appeal. I also liked the fighter/idealist/advocate designations and applying those to Sam, Kristina and Molly. As a mostly sporadic viewer until recently, I really didn’t know a whole lot about Alexis’s history, so I enjoyed getting some more background. The flashbacks were fun. I did miss Diane being involved in the episode. And while I can see that Ned and Alexis have a history that’s worth acknowledging, it kind of bugs me that everyone is so cool with Ned while Valentin gets treated like the devil, even though the reason Alexis fell off the wagon so hard was because Ned started a fight with Valentin, who was hanging out with Alexis and basically keeping her from drinking, and then went back in and got drunk with Alexis. But I really enjoyed the hour overall, and I feel like I could have used a full week of exploring Alexis’s history and connections.April 12, 2021 at 9:14 am #1204195679
I stumbled on Dishin Day’s online over the weekend and am wondering if there is anything similar online for General Hospital???
I am hoping the show makes progress towards the goal of ridding us of Cyrus and Peter ASAP.
I have noticed that I am happiest with episodes that do not feature any combination of Sonny, Jason and Carly lately.
Looking forward to getting back to GH after this weekend away from it!April 13, 2021 at 7:50 am #1204197845
Is it me or did it seem very mean to have poor sweet Chase poisoned and hallucinating while Willow and Michael were committing to one another and having sex? I know I said I wished they’d just rip the band-aid off with Michael and Willow if that’s where they were going, so I guess that’s positive, but she didn’t even break up with Chase first. It’s like they even had Chase take off his shirt to remind you that he’s so much hotter than Michael.
Actually the episode was very good overall, and I really like the scenes with Curtis and Jordan, Portia and Taggert, Anna and Finn and Maxie and Britt. I have serious doubts that Anna and Valentin will actually do what needs to be done with Peter, but I’m glad they’re doing something. Also, it was kind of jarring to see the other actor playing Taggert again, but I’m equally happy with one as the other being on screen. I hope Real Andrews is okay though.April 13, 2021 at 12:09 pm #1204198471
It’s time for Peter to go. I don’t feel at all entertained by him on the canvas any more. I am tired of his smugness and getting away with every scheme. Enough already!!!
I feel terrible for Chase. But I am guessing: Willow will feel too guilty to tell Chase what she was going to say once he is hospitalized and she will have to be by his side during his recovery. Honestly I would prefer Chase be given a brand new character to fall in love with rather than pair him up with anyone on the canvas right now.
The revolving Taggerts make me dizzy!!! Which Taggert is it going to be on any given episode???
I wish I knew how to use technology so I could start an online show similar to Dishin’ Days for General Hospital!!!April 13, 2021 at 5:37 pm #1204199091

I think Peter is much more entertaining as an one note villain that the redeeming gray character TPTB wanted to portrayApril 13, 2021 at 9:18 pm #1204199549
I really don’t want Faison 2.0 because as good as Anders Hove is in the role I could really only take him in small doses…April 14, 2021 at 9:01 am #1204200155
It doesn’t help for me that the more villainously Peter behaves, the more he seems like a cartoon character. Some of the scenes yesterday were laughable. Wes Ramsey is good at playing Peter’s devotion to Maxie and his previous desperation to believe he was a decent person, but he is totally out of sea attempting to play an evil mastermind.
Poor Chase deserves better than Willow not telling him she’s in love with Michael out of pity, and frankly he and Sasha both deserve better than the way Michael and Willow have acted about their deception, which meant nothing but heartache for Chase and Sasha and Michael and Willow getting what they wanted. Even now they talk about Chase having made the mistake of lying to Willow, but I don’t see how that position can be supported. If they can’t even stand for Nina to let Wiley know that Nelle existed, they’d lose their minds if she even had so much as unsupervised visits, let alone joint custody. I do kind of think that Chase is better off just moving on romantically and not being sucked into all of the drama surrounding Wiley and by extension the Corinthos clan. But he also doesn’t seem like a good romantic fit with Sasha or Brook Lynn, so they’d probably need someone new for him. I think he and Molly could be good together, but she just committed to TJ.April 14, 2021 at 11:37 am #1204200443
I was screaming at the television screen: “No no no no!” with this Peter has the upper hand by poisoning Chase b.s. – is anybody entertained by this story at this point? At a certain point, no matter how much you love a particular actor (Wes Ramsey), which I do as well, you have to protect the story rather than the actor!!! They could have had Chase get sick without it being connected to Peter and it would have been for me a much better choice of storytelling. I don’t want Peter to be the new Faison. I want him off the show immediately and we can get our villainy elsewhere in the future. (and Yes, Michael hits the nail on the head: Peter is now a cartoon villain – I actually liked Peter and Maxie as a couple but at a certain point it becomes untenable for a character to continue on a soap).April 15, 2021 at 10:56 am #1204202389
I keep wondering if maybe Anna and Valentin are recording their conversations with Peter. At this point, he’s admitting at least to having poisoned Chase and claiming he’ll let him die if they don’t play ball. I guess they couldn’t necessarily use it if they need to cooperate with him to keep Chase alive — though honestly, how long could it take to cure a toxin that Peter just invented? Get Robin on a Zoom call and take care of it!April 15, 2021 at 11:56 am #1204202519
^^^^ See I thought Valentin was going to record him when he went to Peter’s room before the wedding which WOULD HAVE MADE SOME DAMN SENSE!April 15, 2021 at 12:13 pm #1204202562
You know you really love a character when you are worried about him even though he is a fictional soap opera character and that’s how much I love Chase!!!
Did anybody else burst out laughing at the hand inside of the car during Sasha and Brando’s sex scene??? (; Also: the actor who plays Brando is in all those HPV medication commercials, which always cracks me up!April 16, 2021 at 7:47 am #1204203630
Yes, it’s funny seeing him in the HPV commercials. And I think they dub someone else’s voice in for him in that commercial? The hand in the car was HILARIOUS. I’m glad Brando and Sasha are doing it, and I would have been way more interested in seeing them make out than Michael and Willow. I guess only certain actors can kiss? Maybe it’s a vaccine status thing, or maybe the scenes were filmed out of order?
Freeman, totally agree with you about Chase! I almost cried when he started to feel burning and he seemed like he was in so much pain.
Yeah, it feels like no one is taking the proper actions in dealing with Peter. Not Anna or Valentin, though I appreciate that they’re trying, and certainly not Robert, who I guess has his hands tied as the DA, but it’s frustrating. I feel like in the old days of soaps, people who did the kind of stuff that Peter has done would get exposed and then have to go into hiding, you’d just be waiting for the good guys to find them/catch them. At some point they pivoted, and now shows constantly use the no proof/lack of evidence excuse to let these characters run wild in broad daylight. (I guess by shows I mean GH and DAYS — the other two don’t trade nearly as much in this kind of thing.) With everything they’ve done and continue to do, both Peter and Cyrus should not be going out in public, if not for fear of being arrested, then at least for their safety. Yet they keep showing up to harass people — at the hospital, the Metro Court, Kelly’s, people’s homes for heaven’s sake!
