Today’s episode was jam-packed with excitement and interesting plot twists. I have the feeling Sasha may be pregnant with Michael’s baby?? It was interesting that Cameron may have blocked out that he shot Jason?? Britt didn’t have any tremors during the surgery but only afterwards – I kept waiting to see if she would have any during the surgery. Carly showing up at the end was well directed. Olbrecht is always so much fun to watch! Again kudos to the directing team of GH, who always do such a phenomenal job!!!!May 4, 2021 at 3:27 pm #1204242681
She doesn’t have a standout episode really yet but she’s being given such good diverse material, what do we think about it being time for Kathleen Gatti to get a supporting actress nom?
Also today showed Carly’s bull shit on full display: she risked Jason’s life (twice) so she could have him at this meeting, not caring about his kids and how they need him, and she does what she could have done anyway and do the meeting herself since she’s basically complicit in Sonny’s crap always anyway. That’s a wonderful best friend!May 5, 2021 at 6:33 am #1204243342
Carly is so infuriating! She was throwing shade at Britt – how dare Jason go back to save her and ruin Carly’s master plan? – and is totally ungrateful that Britt is saving Jason’s life!!!! I go further: I think she’s a terrible mother too, besides being a horrible friend!May 5, 2021 at 7:20 am #1204243389
It would be great to see Kathleen Gati get a supporting actress nomination. She’s been great so far this year, and gotten to play a good variety to things already with the sneaking around trying to prove her innocence, her concern for Britt and Maxie, the wedding confrontation, her grief for Franco, and this new romance with Scotty. The accent work is also consistently top notch.
Yesterday’s episode was pretty thrilling as well. I agree it was well directed, but the only quibble I have is the multiple close-ups they showed of Jason’s wound when Britt was operating. It looked like it might have been real blood, so good from that perspective, but it didn’t look like a wound or a hole, just blood smeared on a person’s abdomen. That could have been better, but otherwise, it was great.
Yes, Carly is a terrible mother — she’s admitted multiple times in the past year or so that she’s willing to subject her kids to a dangerous life for the pleasure of hanging around Sonny and Jason — and a very selfish friend. It probably would have been helpful if she’d seemed more apprehensive or concerned about having to attend the meeting in Jason’s place. She did all these things on the premise that he had to be there, but then was very casual about needing to go instead. Her transfusion saved Jason, but her insistence on carrying out this plan is what got him injured in the first place. I did absolutely love her walking into the meeting at the end, though. It’s always good to see Cyrus push back on his heels.
I feel bad for Cam, and it seems like he really doesn’t realize yet that he shot Jason. It seems like it may have been coming back to him in the end. I appreciate that Jason wanted to protect Cameron from going after Peter and getting himself hurt or killed that way, but also so much of this has stemmed from Jason not just saying he wouldn’t kill Franco all the times Liz and others confronted him about it. His position now is that he would never kill Franco because of how much Jake loves him. If he’d been saying that kind of thing before, everyone wouldn’t have assumed he was the killer in the first place.May 5, 2021 at 11:31 am #1204243676
Yeah I’m sorry but it’s time for Obrecht for the win!May 6, 2021 at 6:44 am #1204244560
Woo, Carly is a character I usually can’t stand, but I was LIVING for those scenes of her cutting Cyrus down in front of the Five Families. Also, why would the Five Families even consider having Cyrus in charge? Much like the hospital board, why does he go from not being involved to being the boss?
I know there’s a lot of year left, but at this point, for Laura Wright, I say put the last two episodes on a reel, cut out enough to make it 12ish minutes and call it a day.May 7, 2021 at 7:03 am #1204245755
I am guessing that Cam will apologize to Joss about his insistence that Jason killed Franco. I haven’t been enjoying these two friends fighting ): I hope they can patch things up. Looks like he still doesn’t remember shooting Jason, unless there was a second gunman but I doubt it.
The whole five families negates the whole idea that Sonny is running a legitimate coffee business imo. He’s still a mobster and Jason is still a hired killer – they are not heroes as far as I am concerned. While I enjoyed Cyrus getting cut down to size, I don’t enjoy Carly’s hypocrisy.
They have so many storylines going at once that they sometimes feel like they are progressing at a snail’s pace…
Here’s hoping for a strong cliffhanger Friday episode!
