    I wonder how much of Ava’s story has been put off due to Charles Shaughnessy having his surgery because it feels like this is a major thing involving the Cassadines and they were positioning her as spying on him?  I trust something good is coming even if we don’t have it right now.

    Great point. I really like the idea of a big Cassadine story, especially one focusing heavily on Victor and Ava.

    GH does a great job with friendship scenes. Today’s show was full of them.

    Chase is just so adorable, even more than Leo for me! (;

    At least we have been given a time limit to Trina’s dilemma now and the stakes are even higher too with her possibly getting expelled. Why all these characters who love her aren’t working together towards making sure Esme is exposed and Trina is exonerated remains a mystery to me.

    I found Stella’s wailing irritating today ):

    It’s good to have the show back with a Monday episode!

    On the one hand, I didn’t love the Stella/Curtis scenes, but on the other hand, they are probably the best scenes the show has had dealing with the Marshall story, so maybe we’re headed in a good direction?

    I agree, Freeman, it seems like lots of people are offering Trina love and support, but the only person actually trying to prove her innocence is Spencer (with some help from Cam). As the stakes get higher, it’s also more annoying that Esme’s plan is working so well. She bought a burner phone and case to match Trina’s and stuck it in her back. I know it was carefully plotted out, but it’s not like Esme is a criminal mastermind, and at the very least, the fact that Joss and Cam are vouching for Trina and blaming Esme, who is not even a student at PCU but made sure to be in the room with Joss and Cam when she sent the video to everyone, should be enough to protect Trina from the threat of expulsion for crying out loud.

    Michael is really starting to act like a lunatic where Sonny is concerned. It seems like Dante has noticed, but no one else has? (Willow clearly is fine with it.) Also, I’m very down for whatever plot Ned and Valentin can concoct to thwart Michael and Drew’s plans to merge ELQ and Aurora.

    I loved the light drama around Leo reciting the poem, getting the extra encouragement from everyone and imagining reciting it just to Chase. Have I ever identified more with a character on this show than I do with Leo wanting to imagine everyone else with not around and he’s just hanging out with Chase? It was cuteness on overload. I would have loved to see Avery’s dance too!

    Surprised (but happy) that Spencer told everything to Sam. Looks like we will be dealing with two trials at the same time? Trina and Nina…

    Loved all of Ava’s scenes with Esme, Nikolas and Spencer today. Fierce Ava is always fun to watch!

    GH has so many different storylines that sometimes I am thinking “oh yeah, this story is still going on too”…

    ^^I LOVED that moment! I also liked Ava offering Spencer access to his trust fund to get Esme out of Wyndemere. I would enjoy if Ava just dumped Nikolas, but she’d have to wait until after Esme was exposed/gone to do it so it would be clear that she’s not the loser there. That Nikolas wouldn’t back Ava up to any degree when Esme is talking about Kiki, whose ID badge she left by Ava’s car after setting fire to it, would be a dealbreaker for me. Also, when he referred to Portia as Trina’s horrible mother, I really wanted to punch him in the face. Oh, and I loved that the show let us see that all Esme had in that suitcase was the Cartullo box of evidence. If Nikolas had even gone to lift it, he would have known it was a bluff! So so dumb.

    It’s good we seem to finally be making more process in terms of the investigation into Esme (though at this point the angle seems more like they’ll expose her as a liar in general rather than anything specific to what she did to Trina, Joss, and Cam?) and Chase and Brook Lynn getting together. I’m also glad that Michael declined Carly’s offer to invest in Aurora.

    I’ve been wondering, how did Carly come into being a wealthy proprietor of a luxury hotel and restaurant? She certainly seems to work hard in that capacity, but I always assumed that all the material wealth she’s come into has been the result of her relationships with Sonny and Jax.

    I’m sorry, Trina is facing possible expulsion from school and criminal charges over this sex tape, and Portia is rightly worried sick, and still Curtis is too preoccupied with this Marshall BS to be helpful? This was a fairly frustrating episode between that and Linc showing up to claim rights to Brook Lynn’s music once again. WTF? How could it be that Brook Lynn sold her shares of ELQ to get out of her contractual obligations with Linc and still this is an issue? While I understand that actual real-world contract nuances may make this possible, for the purposes of this show, it’s just irritating to even be thinking about this again. Between these things and the who-could-possibly-care scenes of Sonny and Brando working on that car, this was the flattest episode of the show I’ve seen in a long time.

    I agree with Michael about the flatness of yesterday’s episode – I didn’t even respond on here to it. Today’s episode was o.k. but not a great one either. They really need to move the stories along now. Why do we still not know who Elizabeth’s stalker is? Why is Trina still in limbo?

    Carly was her usual annoying self – I was thinking about her hypocrisy since she had to be forgiven for really rotten behavior when she came to Port Charles all those years ago. She did things that were truly bad and she has no empathy for others at all.

    It’s one thing when Carly and Michael are talking about Nina and not wanting her to see Wiley, but it’s always funny when someone else who’s been much less involved in the story starts talking about it. Like Bobbie saying how Nina can’t be allowed to see Wiley just seems silly, especially when they then give the reasoning that Nina will commit the horrible crime of not only acknowledging that Nelle existed but also believing that she could have possibly not been a terrible person had she had a better childhood. That’s an INSANE reason to not let someone see their grandchild. Just saying that Nina did something horrible to them and now they hate her would make so much more sense, though it’s not really morally defensible as a reason to keep her and Wiley from having visits.

    I think the ending of yesterday’s episode, where Detective Violet notes to Finn that the only person who’s been around when all these things are happening is Elizabeth and then we see a spaced out Liz tearing Finn and herself apart in the drawing Violet made, was meant to be an a-ha moment that, as people have been saying, Liz is doing these things herself.

    Timeline-wise, based on what they’re saying, the hearing for Nina’s visitation will be very soon (“tomorrow”); Trina’s Title IX hearing will be in “10 days,” so maybe sometime week after next; and Trina’s criminal trial will be sometime after that. I hope Trina gets cleared at the Title IX hearing and we don’t have to get to the point of doing the trial.

    I wish they had done more with the Elizabeth reveal – the stakes were too low, she should have stabbed someone. Instead we get a boring scene where I kept thinking “there will be a twist and it’s not Elizabeth after all”… (;

    Bobbie was intolerable today, just horrible! All of these characters who have done terrible things in life casting stones on my Nina…

    I was “booing” during the sex scene between Michael and Willow! (;

    This week wasn’t all that strong for the show. Some nice moments, yes, but some of these stories aren’t working all that well. Looks like we will get back to the better stories next week.

    I really cringe when they talk about Bobbie being a prostitute because what they should call it was (since she was underage) a victim of sexual exploitation. I get how in the 70s it would have been very easy to victim blame a child prostitute but these days we know better and shaming a victim of sexual abuse for the abuse is never ok.

    Did I miss something here? When did Nina become a saint? It’s like they’re trying to paint Nina as a victim. In the process they make her look pathetic. All of a sudden she believes that Nelle was some kind of poor put upon child? Nelle was a murdering, cold-blooded killer. For Nina to act otherwise is irritating.

    I love how apparently Carly, Bobbi, Michael, Willow, they’re all insufferable. But Nina is somehow a saint? Give me a break!

    That being said, they are really turning Sonny into a joke as well.

    I loved the red dress that Nina was wearing on Friday’s episode! Maybe Cynthia ought to wear that dress to the Emmys? (:
