    I was truly surprised that Jordan created a diversion for Portia so she could inject Oz with the wake up from your coma in a hurry injection! This got Rory off the hook too….

    I wonder how long Esme will be M.I.A.? As much as I do want her character to get her comeuppance I miss her presence on the show!

    We have to wait even longer for the verdict… is it possible they will do a Pentonville storyline where both Spencer and Trina are there? IDK…

    Drew Garrett was great as Michael. He’s still acting, and I recently saw that he’s been in a movie that’s in post-production. It was my impression that the show recast the character because Drew Garrett looked too young for the prison rape storyline they had planned for Michael. But that could be totally wrong. Anyway, I’d love to see Drew back in soaps. Like many people, I’d take a recast for Michael any time now. I also think Drew could make a good Will on DAYS if Chandler Massey really didn’t want to do it and the show wanted to get the character back on full time.

    Brook Kerr was great on Friday’s episode. I’ve been hoping that the hang-wringing over Oz would last long enough that either the verdict would just come back or Oz would wake up on his own. Jordan creating the diversion was surprising, and also kind of funny, as there still seemed to be no legitimate reason for Rory to leave his post when there was another officer already going to check on the elevator. Ah well.

    I kind of can’t believe how irritating the writers have made Cody. Maybe as this story unfolds, he’ll become more sympathetic, or at least more fun. I guess it seems easy for your average viewer to identify with wanting to be wealthy, but I find it hard to really feel bad for someone just on the basis of them not being rich.

    I wonder if today’s episode was supposed to be a Friday cliffhanger episode and got displaced by breaking news on to a Monday airing? There sure was a great deal of suspense and cliffhangers! The verdict is in; Oz is awake; conversations are happening…. It was a very good episode!

    Cam, don’t start being all jealous! That will drive Joss away for certain!

    Where is Esme? Is Avery on a vacation? As much as I want her to get her comeuppance I still miss her during this crucial time story-wise! (;

    We got a break today from all of the characters who have been annoying me! (;

    I am in genuine suspense as to how this verdict is going to go – particularly as it at least seems like Spencer could be headed to prison and it has been established through Alexis and Shawn that there are male-female interactions at Pentonville so could that mean “guilty” for Trina? I hope not!

    I have to once again shout out Brook Kerr for being great on yesterday’s episode. I’m also in genuine suspense as to what the verdict will be. In my mind, there’s no logical reason why the jury would find Trina guilty, but if none of it is going to matter anyway, why would we have spent all this time on Oz coming out of the coma? I supposed Esme’s guilt in the crime is still a matter for potential debate. The idea of Spencer going to Pentonville for three months seems absurd, but prison stories have become a regular part of soaps, so we’ll see what happens with these two.

    It’s nice to see Cam. I wish he were on more. It’s like he’s been banned from the courtroom set. The writers certainly seem to be pushing Joss towards Dex, a pairing I don’t really need but could be interesting. It seems like the show decided at some point that having the teens just be in love stories with each other wasn’t good enough, so we have Rory and Dex here to romance Trina and Joss.

    I think the issue with William Lipton is his college work load and that is why we haven’t been seeing Cam as often as we would wish.

    Hooray! Trina is free! I wonder what the jury decided? I was clapping and cheering!

    When and how will Esme return???

    Today’s episode was terrific! Even characters who usually annoy me didn’t today!

    I think they should have Willow be more sick – they need a reason for her to need biological family help and that would lead to Nina. The scene between Willow, Britt and Terry was really quite good.

    With all of its flaws GH has a vitality to its best stories that makes the show worth watching.

    Michael, I have sent you a private message! (:

    Not sure how I feel about Rory yet (and God knows this show needs another male character to act like a white knight to a damsel in distress like I need another hole in the head) but if anything from this storyline has shown is that Trina is WAY WAY WAAAAAY too good for Spencer.  Maybe in a couple years when he’s grown up a bit…

    I will try to respond to your message soon, Freeman! I tried numerous times to respond to your last message, but the site for some reason just kept deleting the message and sending me to a different page. Very frustrating.

    Very strong episode yesterday, and I’m really glad that not only is Trina finally free from these charges, but also that the charges were dropped rather than her needing to be cleared by the jury, meaning Sonny’s interference in the matter didn’t actually do anything. I’m eager to know what the jury decided also, but given how quickly they came to a verdict, it was clearly whatever they were going to do anyway, so intimidating the foreman either wasn’t necessary or just didn’t work.

    I still love Spencer and want him and Trina to be together. Even though his efforts failed, I still give him a ton of credit for being basically the only one doing anything to try to help Trina for most of the time she was facing these charges. Like, if Curtis had started looking for Oz sooner than right before the trial started, the matter could have been settled months earlier.

    As much as she’s annoyed me over the past year or so, I feel quite bad for Willow. (Side note: doesn’t it seem like Willow has been on the verge of/in the process of graduating nursing school for like six months? Wasn’t she graduating from nursing school when she and Michael were about to go to Paris when Michael punched Smoltz after Esme posted the revenge porn?) I think leukemia stories will often lead to the need for a bone marrow transplant, and while a match could theoretically be found anywhere, it’s much more likely to match with a blood relative. Also, I love the Britt/Terry tag team.

    Carly was really annoying today. She knows that Nina is Willow’s biological mother and she doesn’t say so. There is no justification for her actions. Her whole attitude is just despicable. Sonny is Donna’s father and she has to accept the fact that Nina will be a part of her daughter’s life, period. Carly and Drew – I knew he would be her new Jason and that is where they have been headed all along.

    Willow’s scenes with everyone but Michael are really affecting and effective.

    Unfortunately when they set Esme’s things on fire they also burned the letter ):

    It was a nice episode today!

    Wow, Kelly Thiebaud is leaving the show in November ): Surprised by this but this storyline with Cody isn’t working for me. I was surprised they never got back to her illness storyline. I hope they don’t recast the role…

    So it sounds like Emma Scorpio-Drake has been SORASed to a college sophomore off camera…I’m sure we will probably see the new Emma around the time we get the new Charlotte…

    There are ominous signs that several of the veterans have been let go from the show ):

    Well we have been saying for awhile that the cast is underserved and whole plots just get lost for ages at a time. Maybe it wouldn’t be the worst thing to clear the decks a bit and reset some of these plots.

    I’ve been preoccupied lately, but I haven’t seen anything about veterans being let go. Any clues as to who that might be? While I don’t love the idea of losing veterans in general, I also don’t think it’s the worst thing for this show to trim its cast somewhat. Kelly Thiebaud’s impending exit makes me sad, but I haven’t enjoyed the storylines for Britt lately either. Among the other issues I have with the Britt/Cody pairing, they made the same mistake with them that they made with Dante and Sam initially. The relationship is so contentious that I can’t imagine having a character I like stuck in this dynamic long term. It’s no fun to watch, and there’s no rooting value.

    The mention that Emma just finished her freshman year, making her the same age as Joss, Cam, and Trina, surprised me. I would love to see Brooklyn Selzer back on screen as Emma, but she’s probably just a tad too young to play that age. The show could have just had her be a freshman starting at PCU, and possibly even said she finished high school a year early. But the idea of Emma being back on screen in any form is nice. They can play up an Emma/Spencer connection to add some dynamism to the story with him, Trina and Rory.

    Michael, Kin Shriner and Jacklyn Zeman have put out posts that sound very much like they will no longer be on the show…. consider this a rumor only!
