I mostly loved today’s episode, except for Sonny in Turkey with Robert. I do think tomorrow’s show will be a Friday cliffhanger, based on the coming next they showed at the end of today’s episode. So much great stuff! I didn’t get where Carly is though – if he threw her there she would be dead, so did he gently put her there? We all know Jason will save her blah blah blah (blech!). Thought it was interesting that Ava thought Kevin was having a nervous breakdown! Oscar and Josslyn were so sweet today. Cameron realizing that he had bumped into serial killer Ryan and not Kevin was a hoot! So looking forward to tomorrow’s episode and hoping there will no “breaking news” to spoil it! Freeman, tomorrow’s episode would have been scheduled to air today because we lost last Wednesday due to the Cohen hearing. It usually takes about a 3 weeks to a month to reset when that happens because of the production lag.March 8, 2019 at 12:18 pm #1202809245
That sure felt like a Friday cliff-hanger ending to me. I didn’t really like it though – Ryan being the catalyst instead of Ava ): It does make me wonder what will happen next; I don’t want anything bad to happen to Ava!
I thought the spiggots would open and engulf Carly, and then Jason would have to save her in the water!
Glad that it was only a dream Alexis was having, as I do not want a return for her to Julian. I want her to grow up and act like a mature grown up woman and get as far away from him and his toxicity as she can get!
Sasha and Michael feels like Nelle all over again. Maxie did a poor job disguising what she was up to ):
This episode was all over the place, not one of my favorites. Hoping next week will be more satisfactory.March 8, 2019 at 6:36 pm #1202809586
I have read this might not be the end of the storyline. I have also read that there is going to be a great scene coming up between Ava and Franco. Here’s hoping that a more satisfactory ending for Ryan comes in time!March 11, 2019 at 11:33 am #1202812586
The scenes between Ava and Laura were great today. I also enjoyed the Ashford family in the hospital room with Jordan. Alexis and Finn with him trying to help her with her craving for alcohol was very well played. Franco and Liz was a bit disappointing though, I really want Liz to understand the decision that Franco made.March 12, 2019 at 8:36 pm #1202814455
I saw that Queen Maura will be on tomorrow and the next day but likely won’t appear on Friday’s episode – looks like she is going to have really great scenes with Jon Lindstrom’s Kevin and Roger Howarth’s Franco (:
Loved Joss and Oscar today, in their scenes together and hers with Carly and his with Drew. Really well written and acted!
Hate that Valentin is on to Maxie’s testing DNA and will inevitably switch the results blah blah blech!March 16, 2019 at 3:59 am #1202818391
Question: is this street urchin/pickpocket Sonny has befriended actually a hidden crossover with Aladdin because Disney?March 19, 2019 at 9:32 am #1202822086
I just watched the episodes from the week before last, which was pretty packed with action between things unraveling for Ryan and the convergence of everything at Niagara Falls. The shows overall were really good. The biggest disappointment was getting to the Friday episode and all of a sudden focusing on every other storyline in addition the Ryan stuff. I would be hard pressed to care any less about Sonny and Robert tracking down Dante in Turkey or this Dawn of Day cult with Kristina, Sam and Shiloh. It was good seeing Maxie, Nina, Michael and Valentin. I’m not a fan of Peter, but I like Sasha, even if I don’t really see it between her and Michael. Why does the show have such a hard time getting Michael a decent love interest? I feel like Alexis and Julian kind of deserve each other. Her having passionate sex dreams about him feels somehow more undignified than if they were just back together.
All that aside, the main story related to Ryan has been great. I love the way so many characters are folded into it, and as the truth comes out it is having different ramifications for different characters. You get to see a great range of reactions that aren’t just the same reaction scene played again and again, but the stakes are different for everyone. I also find the kids just so adorable. I have yet to be really moved in any of my viewing by poor Oscar’s apparently soon-to-be-fatal illness (maybe because Oscar’s face just looks very healthy?), but it works in terms of creating motivations for the kids to do things. The acting has been great for the most part. I’ve especially been enjoying Maura West, Jon Lindstrom, and Genie Francis. I look forward to getting caught all the way up and seeing the rest of this play out!
