Elizabeth Hendrickson started with so much promise last year but she just joins a long list of DAs that St. Sonny has outlasted. So gross. The turn with the character where there was no coming back was her blackmailing Drew with the flash drive which turned out to be such a non issue since he doesn’t want his memories back anyway. Such a waste…June 7, 2019 at 9:58 am #1202927242
Thanks, Sean. I guess that is strong reasoning for people to be mistrustful of Julian and not want to deal with him. I can imagine that it won’t get any better for him as this baby storyline progresses and the truth continues to unfold. I had kind of forgotten all of that with Alexis, partly because I didn’t see it happen and partly because it just felt like a groundless heel-turn from when I had been watching and Julian seemed to be making every effort to be a law-abiding citizen (something Sonny has never even attempted to do). Even with all this in mind, it still galls me to see things like Alexis going to Sonny and Carly and telling them more information than she legally should about the Wiley situation because she wants them to keep Julian in check. Like they’ve never ruined a thing by not just letting someone else handle it. But sure.
I didn’t realize Liz Hendrickson was going back to Y&R (it’s getting crowded over there!), but after yesterday’s episode it was clear she wouldn’t be sticking around Port Charles. Generally my reaction is good riddance to Margaux, and I hope the show gets a DA who can just accept the reality of the show they’re on and not even deal with Sonny and just worry about the criminals they may actually be allowed to catch.
Someone at PC Elementary (or whatever the name of Willow’s school is) should really beef up security. I don’t see how poor Willow gets anything done with people just coming into her classroom to harass her all day. I had totally been thinking the same thing, Freeman, that Harmony seems like the likeliest culprit if/when Shiloh is murdered.June 7, 2019 at 11:26 am #1202927307
I mean the police commissioners have basically given up with Sonny, so why not the DA’s?June 7, 2019 at 1:37 pm #1202927425
I was thinking how good the writing is for Laura and then I realized that it’s really about how great Genie Francis is! I just love her! She has been magnificent this past year!
I feel badly for Michael – another liar added to his long list of bad choices! (;
I loved the chemistry between Laura Wright and Ingo Radamacher today – bring them back together and dump Sonny! (;
At this point Willow should just lock her classroom door! (:
I am so protective of Ava but only because of Maura.
I was surprised (unless I missed it?) that they never showed Kevin switching places with Ryan? I had a hunch that was what happened and they confirmed it today.
I really enjoyed today’s episode (:June 11, 2019 at 3:59 pm #1202933470
The conversation among Carly, Julian and Lucas in yesterday’s episode was a great illustration of why I find the situation with Julian problematic/irritating. Carly and Julian were both making potentially valid points, but most of Carly’s seemed ridiculously hypocritical. Like, sure, it does seem like way too many people know that Shiloh is (supposedly) Wiley’s biological father, but you know who didn’t need to know? Carly and Sonny! Sure, Julian’s done stuff that hurt or endangered his family and friends, but Sonny shot is own son and outright murdered the biological father of his other son and had a baby with the woman he holds responsible for the death of his other son. He’s not a font of good decisions, and yet Carly is berating Julian between scenes of Kristina basically gushing to Sonny about him being a good dad. I guess this is part of the reason some fans find Sonny and Carly so insufferable. (I also don’t think Molly is getting enough credit for being the one to sound the alarm to people that Kristina was in a cult in the first place.)
But I agree about Carly and Jax. They’ve still got great chemistry, and I’d love to see them back together.
I’m also surprised that the show was so relatively subtle about the Kevin/Ryan switch. A person not really paying attention wouldn’t really know what’s happening.June 11, 2019 at 4:33 pm #1202933522
Also they still wouldn’t release Shiloh because there’s the whole issue if he was trying to rape Sam or was going to rape Christina. Problematic much?June 12, 2019 at 8:55 am #1202934502
Indeed. Very weird to have Margaux take a stand against Shiloh on screen and then have Chase say that her last act before resigning was to release Shiloh. He claimed a number of times that Sam was consenting to everything that was happening, but they have a recording of her not consenting. Even with Harmony taking the wrap for the drugging, the attempted rape of Sam should be a slam dunk.June 12, 2019 at 11:56 am #1202934793
Also one of the other charges WAS extortion so…June 12, 2019 at 3:09 pm #1202935081
I am betting that Shiloh will be murdered soon, after he thinks that Wiley is his son blah blah blech!
So now they have filled in the blanks about the Ryan-Kevin switch. Jon Lindstrom was great as Ryan today!
Ava and Jax? Hmmmm…. (:
It’s time for new storylines to start up!June 12, 2019 at 10:49 pm #1202935424
Also Nelle! God please kick some life into this snooze of the last couple weeks of cult nonsense!June 13, 2019 at 9:58 am #1202936141
I love seeing Jax unload a little on Ava for some of the crap she’s done. Usually the people are doing this are Sonny and Carly, who are worse, so it’s annoying, but I like it coming from Jax.
It feels like maybe the show could have gotten their ducks in a row slightly better with the Shiloh story, because they’ve past the point where the murder would have been most exciting and impactful, assuming that’s happening.
I also loved the cinematic way they showed the details of the Ryan/Kevin switch, and agree, Lindstrom was great.June 13, 2019 at 10:28 am #1202936201
Agreed re: the switch. Love that Valerie was in on it too.June 14, 2019 at 1:09 pm #1202938116
I really enjoyed today’s episode, esp. Nelle and Brad and WILLOW! I can never remember the name of the actress who plays Willow – she has been terrific lately! I was grinning at the end of the each Nelle-Brad scene. The scene between Willow and Harmony was also particularly strong.
I don’t usually like Carly and Sam but their scene today was very good as well.
Michael thought he had the upper hand with Shiloh but Shiloh is too evil to be shaken!
A seance is an interesting twist. Anything that gets Garren Stitt back on the show for an episode or two makes me happy! (:
I have a strong feeling Harmony will murder Shiloh…June 17, 2019 at 12:27 pm #1202941897
I have slightly mixed feelings about some of the things happening in the aftermath of Oscar’s death. On the one hand, it’s great that the show has been taking time to grieve the character and for Josslyn, Drew, Kim and others to look for ways to navigate their loss. On the other hand, I don’t feel like I need to see quite as much of it as we are. The idea of a seance for reach other, for example, doesn’t excite me. And while Kim and Drew going to put Oscar’s ashes on Kilimanjaro was good for the characters, I would have been perfectly happy for them to do that off screen rather than needing to see them while they’re there.
Willow’s been great. I am enjoying watching this story unfold, and I like that they’re really starting to dig into the subsurface a bit more and discussing the Michael/Nelle aspect of the story as well.June 18, 2019 at 12:05 am #1202942451
It was strange seeing Annie Dutton claiming to be Nina Reeves today! (:
Rumors are flying that Billy Miller is leaving the show but they are unconfirmed – oddly I have finally warmed to his character – due to the Oscar storyline – but maybe this is just a rumor?
I can never remember the name of the girl who is a friend of Joss and Cam’s? I wish they would give her a storyline, she’s wonderful! (They could have connected her to Jordan or Curtis or Stella).
Glad that Jax is back! I wasn’t a big fan of his in the past but he’s a breath of fresh air now!
