It’s going to take some time for Cynthia Watros to feel like Nina, for sure. I think I’d started to take for granted just how much Michelle Stafford was doing in terms of making the character interesting to watch.
I also like Joss and Cam’s friend Trina and wouldn’t mind if she had more of a story. The idea of connecting her to others on the canvas is appealing. I’d steer away from the Ashford family, but maybe she could be related to Epiphany or Felix. I think I’d like Epiphany a lot better if 95% of her scenes weren’t strong-arming people into getting proper medical care.
Also, I may finally be warming up to Peter? His reaction to the non-surprise party was very cute.June 18, 2019 at 8:54 am #1202942809
I think the more they keep Jax away from Sonny the better off his character is because Ingo is charismatic af in the role. I think the problem with the character is the writing has always shat HARD on him making him the constant loser in the triangles of him/Sonny/Carly and or Brenda. Remember this atrocity which you can find in a write up from EW:
On General Hospital, Jax was kidnapped by Irina (his brother Jerry’s ex). Irina bound and gagged Jax, tortured him, pistol-whipped him, threatened to kill his wife, Carly, then forced herself on him. When Carly found out, she went running to her best friend, Jason, to sob how let down she felt by Jax cheating on her. To cheer her up, Jason led Carly in a little giggle at the idea that a man could ever be violated by a woman. Then Jason promptly chastised Jax for sleeping around on Carly. The storyline was also part of a network-wide “Ultimate Betrayal” promotion, wherein Carly was the one betrayed by “Jax breaking his marriage vows.”
Yeah so as long as he’s fighting Valentin, we should get a better version of the character.June 18, 2019 at 8:55 am #1202942813
Also with Cynthia Watros as Nina I kept waiting for her to get shot suddenly.June 19, 2019 at 10:09 am #1202944350
I wasn’t watching the show when that happened with Jax and Carly, but atrocious indeed. Good lord. It seems consistently true that unless you’re Jason, being another man in any storyline with Sonny will eventually screw you over.
It is astounding to me that this show makes no effort not to portray Lulu as an idiot. Also, I did NOT expect to see Sonny’s little street urchin pal again!June 19, 2019 at 11:49 am #1202944479
Yeah they’ve been writing Lulu so terribly for years now I don’t know if we can ever get it back to liking her as a character.June 19, 2019 at 12:57 pm #1202944572
I think we know now who Josslyn’s new love interest will be!
I love Kevin and Laura as a couple. Genie Francis always makes me happy! I was trying to think what Laura’s maiden name would be? She was Lesley’s biological daughter but was raised by another family, so I assume her maiden name would be theirs?
The show was pretty good today.June 19, 2019 at 7:33 pm #1202945012
She was raised as Laura Vining (in another of that old soap trope “switch the baby”) until she was about 15-16 then Leslie took custody of her and she took the name Webber after Leslie married Rick.June 20, 2019 at 8:49 am #1202945562
Was Laura ever married to a Cassadine? I think her full name might be Luara Vining Webber Baldwin Spencer (Spencer Baldwin Spencer) Collins? Have I missed any husbands? (:
Yesterday’s show was entertaining and held my interest.
I wish Heather would return to the show, I miss Robin Mattson very much.June 20, 2019 at 1:57 pm #1202945956
The Cassadine last name would be invalid because she married Stavros bigamously believing Luke was dead. By the way this is a scene from the morning after her return to Luke in 1983. These two are just pure goddamn sex:

I think Dev will be Josslyn’s new love interest eventually (:June 21, 2019 at 9:19 am #1202947205
I get that the actor that plays Dev is 16 and so I wont pick on him but whoever coached him on that accent should be shot out of a cannon.June 25, 2019 at 9:53 am #1202951110
Of course Shiloh wins but I don’t get how his winning gets him anywhere if they have removed that part of the birth record? Someone mentioned that it would reveal that the birth record had been tampered with but I am uncertain as to how that would be the case? The irony, of course, is that it isn’t Shiloh’s baby at all! It’s Michael and Nelle’s baby! So the baby all this fuss is about is dead! It’s been an interesting ‘umbrella’ story in that so many characters have been involved and it gave a storyline for Lucas and Brad, who had been on the backburner for such a long time (I just don’t want them to break up permanently; a separation but then get back together please!) Parry Shen has been my favorite in this particular storyline.
Will Ava do a seance to get in touch with Kiki? I found it quite poignant when she pressed “Yes” to the RSVP for the dinner with Kiki.
I get the feeling we are in for a big drama on The Haunted Star with the party for Franco and Liz! (:
I would enjoy a friendship between Ava and Maxie, they have a nice chemistry in their recent scenes together.
Shiloh is so smirky, I want to wipe that smugness off of his face! (;
The show isn’t perfect but it has been quite compelling to watch lately!June 27, 2019 at 4:56 am #1202953530
Of course Shiloh is seemingly winning but I think it’s all leading up to his murder and there will be tons of suspects! I actually enjoyed seeing Jason where he belongs in prison (if only Sonny was with him) but know it’s only temporary ):
I have forgotten the name of the actress who plays Willow; she has been knocking it out of the park with her terrific performances! (:
This show has the best teen set but I do wish they would utilize Trina better. I am enjoying Devin immensely.
I am looking forward to Ava keeping her date with Kiki (:
The show has been fun lately. Diane being on often has been a special treat which we might as well enjoy while it lasts! (:June 27, 2019 at 3:16 pm #1202954231
I think Lucas may have clued Shiloh in that Wiley is (seemingly) Willow and his baby with his tirade today. The plot thickens!
The twist of having Kim ask for Shiloh’s help was a surprise to me. It’s rare for soaps to be surprising these days.
