Yes, this is really starting to feel a little cartoonish, or like a comic book from the 1940s. Jason figures out where Sam is, knocks Shiloh out, and then runs off to save her, just in the nick of time! Meanwhile, Shiloh recovers and kidnaps sweet young Cam! I would like to think this means Shiloh must be close to being over, but who knows. When Shiloh grunted at Jason while being choked, “If you killed me, Sam dies, too,” I actually said, “Worth it.”
The conversation between Molly and TJ was like an incoming student talking to her faculty advisor. I agree, Freeman, the two of them have no chemistry at all. Actually, I think the actor isn’t a great choice to TJ. He doesn’t fit with Molly and he doesn’t seem young enough to be Jordan’s son.
Also, what is Lucy even doing? Why is she showing Sasha a giant house that she clearly doesn’t want just to say the owner might break it up into apartments if it doesn’t sell?August 7, 2019 at 11:51 am #1203014385
It is so rare to be surprised these days and Shiloh taking Cameron took me by surprise. I feel bad for Cam. But Franco to the rescue?
I enjoy the friendship between Ava and Laura – it’s unexpected and sweet.
William Lipton did a great job conveying Cam’s fear on today’s episode.August 8, 2019 at 8:47 am #1203015623
Poor Cam! The show has gone so full tilt with Shiloh just being evil. It’s a little shocking how quickly the veneer of righteous calm has totally disappeared.
Ava bugs me so much as a character. I generally find I’m either annoyed that she’s acting like she hasn’t been a horrible person or annoyed that Sonny and Carly are treating her like she’s worse than they are, but I think the one saving grace she has left is her relationship with Scotty. Their interactions are genuine and fun.August 8, 2019 at 12:07 pm #1203015882
I don’t understand why Shiloh wants anyone to have Drew’s memories – I thought he didn’t want Drew to get his memories back because he would remember some nefarious actions Shiloh did when they knew each other earlier. Totally puzzled, but it does answer the question I had about a new story for Franco and Elizabeth. Poor Cameron! But I don’t get it, what will they do with Cameron now? Isn’t he expendable to the two criminals, since he knows what they have done? It’s not making any sense but soaps don’t make a whole lot of sense anymore, do they? (;
I enjoyed today’s show, outlandish storylines and all!August 8, 2019 at 3:27 pm #1203016371
I think the idea is of they download the memories to someone they can kill that person and therefore the memories are never a threat? But then why not just destroy the damn flash drive? It makes no sense but whatever.August 9, 2019 at 5:32 am #1203017164
Why wouldn’t Shiloh just kill Drew if he’s so worried about his memories coming back? it just makes no sense!
I cited Roger Howarth for his performance in yesterday’s episode. As dumb as the story is it’s redeemed (somewhat) by some stellar acting performances. William Lipton was terrific too. But they really need to end the Shiloh story ASAP and it’s obvious it’s going to be awhile before they do so ):August 9, 2019 at 6:26 am #1203017289
I wonder if a lot of this is being done so sloppily because they knew they had to wrap up with Billy Miller sooner rather than later? It’s like the writing staff is just like spitting ideas at a dry erase board that’s been used so much that what they’re writing is bleeding into what they can’t quite erase and it’s leading to a jumbled mess.August 12, 2019 at 9:00 am #1203020559
It would be a big surprise if Franco were to wake up without Drew’s memories – why do the story at all then? So I assume this sci-fi story will play out – the only good thing about it is that I know the acting will be really good but I do wish they would get back to the hospital and realistic storylines!August 12, 2019 at 12:04 pm #1203020860
“I need to speak with my superior officer”. And away we go! IDK how this will facilitate Billy Miller leaving the show but at least it’s surprising and something different. Still I wish soaps would stay away from all these sci-fi stories. I am sure Roger and Rebecca will give terrific performances.August 12, 2019 at 12:11 pm #1203020875
If Maurice Bernard gets another nod, some of today would be good to put in there. It’s a solid mini arc and it’s not the kind of stuff about the character that most people hate (the mob stuff and gratuitous overacting).August 13, 2019 at 11:41 am #1203022110
Oh so this is how they’re going to write Vernee Watson out for her CBS show. And if it gets cancelled, they can bring her back.August 13, 2019 at 11:59 am #1203022149
I really enjoyed Laura’s scenes with Chelsea today (: Jen Ray has been terrific in the role. I also love that Chelsea told Ava that Julian isn’t going anywhere (albeit I would rather he did go!)
Franco thinks he’s Drew. Away we go with Billy Miller’s exit story…
I am not quite getting what Jax and Hayden are up to?
The show was pretty good today.August 14, 2019 at 5:05 pm #1203024187
I’m still a few episodes behind, but I thought they’d said last week or the week before that Shiloh was trying to get those memories accessed because Drew knew where his huge stash of money was. Of course, it still doesn’t make sense, because why would Drew tell him that rather than getting him arrested for yet another crime. Shiloh should be so done right now, but he’s still acting like he has cards to play. William Lipton did a great job in his scenes over the course of the episodes with the memory transfers. I thought Roger Howarth vacillated between really good and slightly over the top, though the situation was so over the top that it’s hard to fault him for it.August 16, 2019 at 9:44 am #1203026499
I like the continuing thread of the softball league, which is adding some humor and levity to the lives of some of these tortured characters. Also, anything that gets Mark Lawson back on screen is a plus.
It is disappointing that Hayden keeps getting caught snooping around Wyndamere. I would think that someone so skilled in deception would be better at sneaking through the vast mansion where she used to live.
Also, it does my heart good to see this outpouring of sadness over Julian’s decision to leave town. What a nice change of pace to see people in scenes with Julian generally being nice to him and wanting him to stick around!August 16, 2019 at 10:10 am #1203026542
Anybody else think that Kim and Franco will be paired up during this storyline?
I realize that I don’t really care about Hayden at all and don’t pay much attention during her scenes.
The reason I want Julian to leave town is that I do not want Alexis ever ever ever getting back with him but that always seems to be end game.
Anybody else notice that almost everyone on GH is a criminal and has committed crimes for which they could be in prison for decades?
I am enjoying Franco’s story while at the same time finding it ridiculous!
I wish they could find some way of bringing Robin Mattson’s Heather back on the canvas for an extended visit. I miss her.
What if Steven Lars got out of prison and returned for Olivia? I would much rather she be with him than Ned.
I’ve got to say how much I love Genie Francis and I love Laura too! (:
Only a few more weeks of summer left to go.
