So thomas either dissolved in the acid or he did a vanishing act! We’ll see!!November 26, 2019 at 12:17 am #1203203637
Thomas is so twisted but made a good point i think. When hope thought she killed thomas she didn’t go to anyone and kept it a secret. Understandable. Then Thomas comes back and says “see you kept a secret too! Don’t be a hypocrite to me”!March 20, 2020 at 9:36 pm #1203388878
This show has actually gotten pretty good lately. Thomas finally got his comeuppance . The Lope wedding was sweet. The Brill kiss has made for some good drama bringing out the more evil fun side of Quinn . And I am rarely surprised by Soaps anymore but the Sally dying storyline really took an unexpected turn today.March 23, 2020 at 7:32 am #1203391102
I watched a bunch of clips from the Thomas/Zoe wedding stuff, and I was pretty into it. I may start tuning in more regularly, especially if my girl Quinn is doing fun stuff.March 29, 2020 at 11:12 am #1203399432
You guys: B&B outdrew Y&R in viewers and demo the 3/16 week!
Y&R:March 30, 2020 at 12:54 am #1203400601
^^^ What a fantastic milestone! Hope that B&B can keep the momentum going and reach even more viewers!March 30, 2020 at 12:01 pm #1203401516
Wow! I really thought Y&R would be the top soap until it was either the last soap standing or went off the air. Congrats to B&B!April 1, 2020 at 4:06 am #1203404313
I suspect the real reason for B&B surpassing Y&R has more to do with how truly awful Y&R has been lately! I watched a few minutes of B&B this past week and I do like that Quinn is returning to her bad side! (;April 1, 2020 at 5:57 am #1203404458
In the next week ratings Y&R rebounded so it does seem to be because of preemptions at least that one week:
On a good note: all soaps are way up during quarantine! This however stinks for the two that are about to run out of episodes and GH which has about 2 months left.April 1, 2020 at 8:52 am #1203404649
Honestly, even with the preemption factor, it still feels quite impressive that B&B bested Y&R at all, at least for me, because I’ve always attributed much of B&B’s ratings success over GH and DAYS to the fact that it has the Y&R lead-in. That it can hold its own against all three of the other shows feels a special kind of victory even if the win is owed in large part to Y&R preemptions.April 6, 2020 at 4:23 am #1203412103
I hardly watched B&B at all in 2019 so I am guessing that the most likely Emmy nominees would be Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, Scott Clifton, Annika Noelle, Matthew Atkinson, maybe Heather Tom, Katherine Kelly Lang, Darin Brooks, Rena Sofer (although I don’t think she submits any more?), Vincent Irizarry for guest performer, the little boy (forgot his name?) – anyone else?
The show could win based on the baby switch revelation episodes, but personally I am rooting for GH based on Oscar’s death episodes.April 26, 2020 at 5:23 pm #1203449040
Is Denise Richards still on the show as Shauna? I haven’t been watching – I saw her in an interview talk about a t.v. series she had been filming right before the covid-19 outbreak that is a cable series – wasn’t sure if she is doing both shows?April 26, 2020 at 6:46 pm #1203449153
Denise Richards is still on as far as I know. I haven’t watched any clips in a while, but it seemed like a few weeks ago, Quinn was trying to help her out in terms of Shauna’s interest in Ridge by revealing that Brooke and Bill kissed. I love Brooke, but she is maybe the most ridiculous character in B&B’s history.May 24, 2020 at 1:59 am #1203498027
I was thinking about why I am not a big fan of B&B and realize it’s the quasi-incestual nature of the show: brothers marry the same women over and over, as do fathers and sons, sisters, and mothers and daughters. Liam is the wishy-washiest character ever on daytime. The show sometimes has some nice eye candy and is pleasing to the eye but that’s not enough. The last time I loved the show was when Quinn was the central character – in 2016 – but like most villains and villainesses who get backed into a corner through their criminality they get softened in order to keep the actor or actress on the show. I am not all that invested in the characters so I wasn’t particularly moved by the baby switch reveal. I also miss Stephanie – her energy was key to the show’s success. I also have to ask: in the world of fashion why are there no central gay characters?May 24, 2020 at 6:32 am #1203498227
I also wonder why did they never really introduced a scheming model who would be using Forresters’ name as a way to get success, luxury and recognition? This storyline would write itself.
I think they got away from the core family too much. Show was at it best in 1990s and early 2003 (1998-2003 were peak years, I think) with another good run in 2007-2008.
I think repetition was supposed to be a part of the show success – the same people, storylines and pairings all over again. It was sick but predictible – you knew what you were getting. I recently catched Brooke and Taylor fighting during wedding reception and… oh my, Taylor is completely ruined as a character. Brooke fared better even though she was never written coherently.
