I agree about Kassie and True; I would add Alison Sweeney as well.
I have such mixed feelings about the show right now – upset about Will and Sonny leaving and generally not really enjoying the storylines but am enjoying the acting performances.
I have a feeling they’ll be brought back like others have been recently, but maybe not until next year. I watch Freddie Smith’s podcast with his fiance on YouTube and he said they’ll be moving to Florida soon, which I think will be nice for them. By the way, I recommend people to watch/listen to their podcast. It’s sooooo good and entertaining. And I don’t say that often. I think he said he’ll be focusing more on the podcast and other business ventures and less on acting. They just did a great interview with Deidre Hall where she talked about how Days will be taking care of their cast and crew when shooting starts up again.August 27, 2020 at 6:34 am #1203669832
I’d definitely like to give that Deidre Hall interview a listen. I’m extremely curious about what the show will be doing for safety when filming resumes.
I just watched the last two episodes yesterday, and I agree, some amazing performances. In addition to the ones mentioned, I think Kristian Alfonso is incredible in the scene where Hope pleads with Eve not to make her mourn another child, and Robert Scott Wilson and Victoria Konefal are both fantastic in extremely tense Ben/Ciara scenes. Martha Madison was also great in the Belle/Sami scenes.
The story surrounding Allie’s baby is making me a little less crazy than it was, but Nicole is still irritating me. I was glad that at least Eric seems to have opened his eyes and realized that yes, she is more concerned with beating Sami than with the baby’s welfare. It also felt like that judge was pretty unfair to Sami. Her attorney abandoned her minutes before the proceedings were to begin, and the judge not only didn’t seem to care about that, but also never even gave Sami an opportunity to speak/make her argument before attempting to rule on the case.August 28, 2020 at 9:28 am #1203671989
Not happy with the way Sami is being treated – don’t like Nicole getting anywhere near having custody of the baby, but I am loving the acting.
What did Ben do? Hoping the question gets answered on today’s episode! Would they kill Ciara off???? Seems unlikely but… (hardly anybody ever stays dead in Salem!)
The acting has been the reason to watch for me, not the storylines..August 28, 2020 at 10:48 am #1203672161
There have been so many incredible performances this week. Between DAYS and GH, it’s kind of unbelievable that we’re not in a sweeps month. I am so-so on some of the plot turns on DAYS, I agree, but the performances are very exciting.
I hate that every time the issue of Nicole killing Deimos comes up, it’s treated like anyone who would dare expose the truth about it is vile and awful, and it should be protected at all costs. Nicole and Eric lying about it to the judge feels like possibly the seed that will grow to split Nicole and Eric apart. In the past, nothing has made Eric more distant with Nicole in the long term than when she gets him to do something that goes against his principles. But I guess we’ll see. I can’t wait to see what Sami does next with this. I totally agree, I can’t see that how aren’t more averse to the idea of Nicole having custody of Sami’s grandchild. She stole this woman’s baby! FFS. It was also unclear to me what even happens now. The judge made a ruling, but then Sami presented her argument (which she oddly wasn’t invited to do before the ruling) and then the judge said she’d consider things and they would reconvene tomorrow. So does Sami still keep the baby or do Nicole and Eric get him?
The performances for Ben, Ciara and Hope have also been great. I’d heard that possibly Victoria Konefal has made her last appearance for now, which I hope isn’t true. DAYS has been pretty bad lately at writing out characters (I mean honestly, having Eduardo come back with his BS and need to take Rafe and Gabi out of town is beyond annoying), but having Ciara disappear in this way and not show up again feels particularly haphazard.August 28, 2020 at 2:05 pm #1203672567
The whole Ciara is missing is weird. It’s almost like they could have just had her vanish in the middle of a Norma conversation. Lol. Like the famous case of a recast being done while a character was walking through a door I think.August 28, 2020 at 9:55 pm #1203673017
I didn’t realize that Jan was coming back to the show, but it doesn’t surprise me, given that Philip, Chloe, Belle and Shawn are all currently in Salem. This should be fun. I also didn’t know that Tripp was returning to Salem. I heard rumors before he might be Allie’s baby-dad. But I really can’t see that being true. Glad he’s back, and Is Casey Moss returning too? Pretty sure they showed him in that preview video as well. About time Days kept some returns a secret. I try to avoid spoilers, because I hate knowing ahead of time what’s going to happen, I miss 25 years ago when you just had to wait and see, instead of reading what’s going to happen leaked out online. call me old fashioned, but that’s how i liked it.August 29, 2020 at 8:49 pm #1203674426
I just discovered this Days digital series tonight. Anyone else knew about this? It looks great.August 29, 2020 at 9:59 pm #1203674520
yea that aired back in december…. here’s the link if you want to watch it, it has the chad and abigail in paris digital series too:September 1, 2020 at 9:35 am #1203680028
Almost everyone I love has left or is leaving and somehow boring Jack and Jennifer and boring Steve and Kayla stay???? I haven’t been enjoying the show but the acting is great as usual… I really don’t like Philip at all. Is Lucas Adams returning as Tripp or will it be a recast? Glad that Alison is sticking around but the loss of Will and Sonny, esp. Will, is enormous for me!September 2, 2020 at 9:04 am #1203681836
Lol my Days wish came true! Lindell as Jan Spears is backSeptember 9, 2020 at 9:23 am #1203694947
I have been thinking about ending my time watching Days – too many favorites are gone, too many least favorites are still on, the stories aren’t compelling…. glad that Sami will be on more but the focus is on the wrong characters for me long-term – i know this can change quickly thoughSeptember 9, 2020 at 5:25 pm #1203696292
Beyond thrilled over these recent cast announcements: Tamara Braun and Casey Moss returning to DAYS!
Also, for anyone who missed last week’s Soap Opera Digest podcast with DAYS Executive Producer (and music genius!) Ken Corday, I highly recommend it. It’s a fascinating listen and will certainly leave you feeling as optimistic as it left me about the future of DAYS.September 10, 2020 at 9:20 am #1203697091
JKJ is good but I think I prefer Kyle Brandt! I call it the Victor philip Vs the Kate Philip and I prefer the Victor PhilipSeptember 10, 2020 at 9:34 am #1203697102
I was right about Gwen, just had the wrong target: it’s Abigail she’s after, not Claire. nuClaire is o.k. but I miss ORK. Nice to see Tripp but just not enjoying the show very much right now…September 11, 2020 at 10:49 pm #1203700166

As I predicted above Freddie Smith and Chandler Massey will return next year! I basically know everything.
