I wish this show would give up it’s obsession with Ford. Did they not learn anything from the Rapemance?
It repulses me that Ford is now being written as a potential love interest for Jessica.October 19, 2011 at 6:41 am #418542
They should bring back Gabrielle. That fight with Tina and Gabrielle back in the day was epic lol. Wouldn’t mind seeing Carlo Hesser return either.October 19, 2011 at 6:56 am #418543
I’ve changed my mind on Ford. When he slept with Jessica, I thought he was just repulsive, but he’s really changed since them, and I actually like him and Jessica together. Although I guess it is pretty gross that Ford has now slept with Jessica in not one but two alterned mental states, both Tess and teenager Jess. But Ford’s become infinitely more likeable than Brody, who is now awful.October 20, 2011 at 1:46 pm #418545
I was just about to post that same thing, almost verbatim!
But it’s kind of a trade-off. OLTL has also apparently cast Vimal’s sister. I cannot imagine why Vimal even needs much more airtime, unless he intends to tell people that Brody is not Liam’s father, but now he’s got a sister. Soon we’ll know as many Patels as we do Cramer women.October 20, 2011 at 9:17 pm #418547

Wow, ask and you shall receive. Fiona Hutchinson announced yesterday that she is returning to OLTL as Gabrielle. [/quote]
WOW that is GREAT! She needs to be on there while Tina and Cord so they can go down memory lane oh and Max too.
Carlo Hesser should come back in December-January and set off landview the final week.October 24, 2011 at 7:50 am #418548
I’m starting to wonder if someone bet RC or one of the other writers on how many soap cliches they could jam into a single storyline within a week. In that time, we’ve had Gigi/Stacy return from the dead (it doesn’t even matter which one it is, as they were both dead), plastic surgery doppelgangers, and amnesia. This whole segment of the show is really dragging the other stuff down. It’s appalling how little sense the stuff with Kim and Cutter makes. Really, Rama went all the way to Kentucky just to insist that Cutter meet her at the scene of the crime rather than just continue to threaten him at their usual spots, like the Minuteman Motel or Capricorn? And of course even though Kim and Cutter were scamming clients at The Spotted Pony, when they accidentally killed one, the club suddenly became empty? But that’s fine, because it’s always empty! Why else was there no one there when Kim had rushed out of Stacy/Gigi’s hospital room claiming she was late for work? She must have gotten quite a promotion is she’s expected to watch the door, tend the bar, wait and bus tables, do the dishes, and play the music and make announcements, all the while also being the club’s only stripper. It also makes total sense that the cops would just arrest Kim on Cutter’s word and a doctored cell phone picture without so much as investigating Cutter’s involvement in the whole thing. UGH.
And I’m so sick of Todd and his constant whining about being held prisoner and tortured for eight years. I get it that it sucked, but how many times is he going to use that as an excuse to do whatever he wants to whoever he wants? I’m still hoping that Todd turns out not to be the one who killed Victor, but I don’t really see any way good way around it now. The killer should be Brody, who gets more awful by the week. This story has now gone on so long that it’s ruining my desire to even see Natalie and John back together. John should have fired Brody and Natalie after that ridiculous business of them acting self-righteous about withholding evidence in a high-profile murder investigation.
The bright spots last week were the scenes with Rex and Clint (I think the show really took their time earning that nice moment they shared), the Tina/Cord/Natalie scenes, Roxy telling Rex what Echo did to get the gun back, and John’s interactions with Jessica and Ryder. I would have gladly done without most of the rest.October 31, 2011 at 2:25 pm #418549
I just read this on Soap Opera Digest’s website, which sounds exciting:
In the current issue of Digest, OLTL Head Writer Ron Carlivati
promises, “There will be returns and there will be many!” and Llanview
fans certainly won’t be disappointed by what’s in store for the show
this fall. Digest has learned that several more Llanview faves are headed back to the canvas. Susan Batten (ex-Luna), Brandon Buddy (ex-Cole) and Jessica Tuck
(ex-Megan) were reportedly spotted on the OLTL set last week and have
taped scenes which are set to air before the show’s network finale in
January. Tonja Walker (Alex) Tuc Watkins (David), Fiona Hutchison (ex-Gabrielle), Brian Kerwin (ex-Charlie) and Catherine Hickland
(Lindsay) are already slated for upcoming returns as well. With
Gabrielle, Megan and Luna all presumably deceased, could there be
another trip to heaven in the works?October 31, 2011 at 2:27 pm #418550
By the way, after a pretty materialistic and shallow start, I’m really enjoying Tina now. There’s still the same spirit to her, but for the msot part she’s trying to be nice and reconnect with her family. So much better than the last return.November 1, 2011 at 6:59 am #418551
Yikes. Apparently, after taping for one day, OLTL has had to recast Cole, because for some undisclosed reason Brandon Buddy was unable to continue in the role. Hmmm.November 1, 2011 at 8:10 am #418552
Any word on how they plan on bringing back all these dead characters? Is David Hayward paying a visit to Llanview?November 1, 2011 at 10:24 am #418553
In addition to the return of Cole, most likely an upgrade purely on acting due to the recast credits, Susan Batten (Luna) and Jessica Tuck (Megan) are set to return too.
Still hasn’t seen the show since my break, but given the show is wrapping up production in a few wks. might have to pick it up again w/the strength of God and fast forwarding.November 1, 2011 at 10:35 am #418554
The two big stories going right now are Brody/Natalie/John/Jessica/Ford and Rex/Gigi/Stacy/Cutter/Aubrey. I really have no interest in either story but the Viki/Clint, Tina/Cord and Blair/Todd scenes are all so adorable right now that I can’t stop watching.November 1, 2011 at 1:32 pm #418555
I actually enjoy the story with Jessica, Natalie and their men when it’s going somewhere, but that hasn’t been for a while. I’m almost as sick of Cutter as people were of Stacy a few years ago. I give Terri Conn (is she going by Conn still, or is she Peck now?) a lot of credit, because I do enjoy seeing Aubrey with Rex.
No idea how they’re bringing back the dead, but since Fiona Hutchinson is only appearing in two episodes, my guess is they’ll all still be dead.November 3, 2011 at 4:12 pm #418556
Florencia Lozano (Tea), Tuc Watkins (David), Josh Kelly (Cutter) and Shenell Edmonds (Destiny) have all signed with Prospect Park.
