I don’t blame Susan either. After the mess she put up w/at ABC, who could blame her for being hessitent. As for AMC’s being shelved, I blame that bad writing, JHC, and Frons. I bet PP, like the rest of the world, only knew of AMC in name and Susan, but once they sat down w/the reserach and all of that, they realized they were dealing w/a vegetable as oppose a pateint that is making progress to recovery (OLTL).

If PP really announced that they were taking on bringing cancelled AMC to the web with only a passing knowledge of the show and Lucci’s reputation, that would be really foolish.  Since the show was cancelled, they should have at least checked it out before just assuming it was worth resuscitating.

And I kind of agree with gdfl about Lucci.  I don’t blame her for not wanting in on the online venture, at all, but she should have just said so.  The whole story of the negotiations not working out just made it seem like Susan was not interested in continuing with the show, but didn’t want to accept whatever hit she might take from the fans for that decision.

Though I see you guys points, I still think this failure shouldn’t be blamed on Susan. If they guys would’ve done their research as opposed to thinking the show was Erica Kane (as it was for a time), they would’ve known that this wasn’t the same AMC that made it legendary. And they also had a wealth of history to go on as option B if Susan opted out (which I don’t blame one bit, b/c of how things went down w/ABC).

What is pretty ironic is how OLTL has become a real life Cinderella story. The sisters that were looked as the pretty ones are shells of their former selfs, while OLTL is ready for that ball.

Just did some lurking on Twitter and from everything I have seen, it seems like OLTL is also being put on hold. Too good to be true and I knew the moment I let my hopes be a little up, this will come back to my face like something fierce. I’m just sad that we were rob a fitting finale for AMC and potentially OLTL.

I guess I can’t say see you on the internet GH anymore  .

Looks like OLTL is in trouble too: http://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/oltl-no-go

In regards to Susan Lucci.  It is called negotiations.  It appears she was at least open to the idea and fielded offers.  She has every right to negotiate and say no.  Lucci could of easily left this show at the height of ther popularity but chose to stay on.
