This is a post saying who u want to win and it’s really before reels come out to score them.
Best Actor:Jon Lindstrom=He has never won and did amazing as Ryan and Kevin.
Best Actress:Marci Miller: I know everyone wants Maura to win. Shes the best actress in daytime but Marci imo had the best overall year. She was a newbie three years ago and was youngest person to ever crack lead.
Best Supporting Actor: Max Gail as he was just amazing the alzheimers storyline. He just completely wowed me on all levels.
Best Supporting Actress: this is a very tough category but honestly I would love to see Beth Maitland win.she was so good as Traci and it’s been 34 years since her last nod.
Best Younger Actor: Garett Stitt hands down amazing in oscar story.
Best younger actress: honestly the most competitive younger actress. While I think Chloe Laniar will win I thought Eden McCoy was fab as Jossyln.
Best show: Days of Our Lives mainly for the Marlena stuff.
Who are your picks of who u want to win not who u think will win but want and state reasons why?

Lead Actor: Peter Bergman (Y&R). Have a feeling Jon Lindstrom from GH will win.
Lead Actress: Marci Miller (DAYS). Wasn’t fond of the split personality storyline but she aced it. Have a feeling Maura West is going to win and I hope not.
Supporting Actor: Bryton James (Y&R). Hillary’s death and the aftermath. He was perfection.
Supporting Actress: Mishael Morgan (Y&R). The ending of Hillary and the hospital scene. What else can I say about this. I’m also down for Beth Maitland to win.
Younger Actor: Lucas Adams (DAYS). It’ll probably go to one of GH boys but I will pull for Lucas Adams. Don’t know how Zach Tinker got nominated.
Younger Actress: It’s going to be one of GH because I don’t see DAYS winning.
Guest Performer: Kate Mansi (DAYS). I thought she was phenomenal.
Writing: Y&R if they submit Hillary’s death (Hospital scene) or Dina’s Alzheimer. I don’t see anyone else winning this category but Y&R.
Directing: Don’t know. It’ll probably be between GH and Y&R. Y&R if they submit Dina and Christian scene where she kidnapped him and they were playing Hide and Seek in the Suite room. Don’t think DAYS did anything Directing worthy. Then again, B&B could win with Bill being shot in the back at night. So it could be B&B, GH or Y&R
Drama Series: it depends on what the Soaps submit. GH will probably have something good. Y&R has death of Hillary Curtis which was PURE SOAP OPERA, Dina’s Alzheimer and JT’s abuse. B&B has Who Shot Bill? and Bill and Steffy’s affair and the aftermath. DAYS has Abby’s split personality which I didn’t really like, John and Marlena’s wedding and her getting shot. Didn’t like that either. Again, might be between GH and Y&R.March 23, 2019 at 1:11 pm #1202827125
Lead Actor: Jon Lindstrom, for playing the twins to perfection, and havign such great chemistry with everyone. It was the storyline that i enjoyed the most on GH the past year.
Lead Actress: Maura West, she simply is way better than the rest of the nominees.
Supporting Actor: Eric Martsolf – not crazy about the other four nominees, the Tate custody storyline really stood out.
Supporting Actress: torn, but I am going with Beth Maitland, the epitome of a supporting player. Her reel is phenomenal!
Younger Actor: Garen Stitt; Oscar has grown on me and he has had a difficult storyline to act.
Younger Actress: Chloe Lanier is the better actress, but I am rooting for Eden McCoy – she is great with both Carly and Oscar.
Guest Performer: Kate Mansi, in particular the scene with Stefan at the mental facility was wowzers!
Directing: General Hospital
Writing: Days Of Our Lives
Series: torn between Days and GHMarch 23, 2019 at 1:46 pm #1202827142
Well Freeman Maura is a 24 year veteran of soaps. She had incredible stuff but what Marci did in her two years there was amazing. A soap newbie cracking lead category twice and interesting DAYS won its first casting Emmy with Marci as the focus. Her year was beyond stellar.March 23, 2019 at 2:01 pm #1202827153
Thoughts before the tapes are revealed:
Jon Lindstrom (General Hospital)
Maura West (General Hospital)
Max Gail (General Hospital)
Beth Maitland (The Young & the Restless)
Garen Stitt (General Hospital)
Chloe Lanier (General Hospital)
Kate Mansi (Days of Our Lives)
Days of Our Lives
GH vs DAYSMarch 25, 2019 at 10:11 am #1202828837
Lead Actor — Jon Lindstrom (or Tyler Christopher)
While part of me would love to see Billy Flynn have an Emmy for playing Chad, 2018 wasn’t that strong a year for him. Lindstrom is the kind of story I love because he’s a soap vet who is basically just hanging around and doing good work and was given a really juicy story that he’s done an excellent job with. But Christopher was great throughout the year, especially at the end, and, at least to me, made the very questionable Stefan very sympathetic.
Lead Actress — Marci Miller
She did great work in frontburner story all year. Maura West is great, as everyone knows, and she does the things she does very well, but I think Miller excelled in an area where I sometimes find West (and maybe it’s an Ava thing) not quite as strong, which is emotional connection.
Supporting Actor — Eric Martsolf
This is a tough category for me to choose because I really didn’t see much of Max Gail on GH, and I know people have really enjoyed him. But for me, Martsolf had a stellar year and was the best lead actor on DAYS in 2018. Brady’s scheming to seduce Eve, Theresa’s return from Mexico, and the Kristen debacle were all great, and the scene where he lets Tate leave with Theresa was just heartbreaking.
Supporting Actress — Martha Madison or Mishael Morgan
These are my top two picks, but I’d be thrilled to see Kassie DePaiva win as well, and happy for Beth Maitland. There are a lot of good options. Madison feels very overdue to me, though it’s hard to make that argument with DePaiva in the mix. Madison really killed it with Marlena’s DNR storyline, and Morgan made every scene she was in spark.
Younger Actor — William Lipton
The kids on GH are really just so adorable that it’s hard not to root for them. Kyler Pettis getting a nomination was nice for him, but he was barely on the show in 2018. Lucas Adams feels like he didn’t do much compared to the year before. Zach Tinker was also barely on his show in 2018, none of which I saw. Garren Stitt obviously had some serious material, but I find Lipton to be the more engaging and believable actor.
Younger Actress — Victoria Konefal
Truly all good choices, but Konefal is my personal favorite. She did great work throughout 2018 and helped create an incredibly popular new couple with Ciara and Ben. This is the kind of pairing that launched the supercouple era decades ago, but it’s tough to find young couples with this level of fire now.
Guest Performer — Kate Mansi
Really killer work stepping in for her own recast.March 25, 2019 at 5:00 pm #1202829292
^fascinating choices Michael! They are all great choices. My guess is that Max Gail will win but I am strongly for Eric Martsolf, the only one of my five pre-noms to get a nomination, to win for all of the scenes you cited. he actually submitted as part of his reel the scene with Marlena in the hospital room.
I think Chloe Lanier will win, but am rooting for Eden McCoy – I somehow want Oliver and Joss both to win! But Younger Actress is the only category where all five of the pre-noms I wanted to see get in got nominated! I really could be happy with any of them winning!
I have a very strong feeling that Beth Maitland will win. I would be happy for Kassie, Martha, or Mishael but angry if Linsey were to win.
Rooting for Jon and Maura!March 25, 2019 at 5:31 pm #1202829313
Thanks, Freeman! I may be singing a totally different tune once we see the reels. I’m looking forward to those!April 22, 2019 at 1:05 pm #1202862281
Drama: Days of our lives
Lead Actor: I’m torn between Peter, Tyler, and Billy for some reason. I liked Jon’s performance as the twins but it felt cartoonish to me. Maurice idk
Lead actress: Maura or Marci I want Marci to win though the other 3 I’m not so sure.
Supporting actor: it’s something about Eric and Bryton that’s telling me one of them is gonna win the gold. I liked Max Gail’s performance but I don’t see him winning.
Supporting actress: I’m torn between Kassie, Mishael, Beth, and Martha with Kassie in first place.
Younger actor: I want Lucas Adams to win. Tripp had alot going last year. If he doesn’t win I’d like to see Zach win.
Younger Actress: Victoria Konefal is my first choice. If she doesn’t win I’d like to see Olivia Rose Keegan take it home
Writing: either y&r or days
Directing: GH or y&r
Guest performance: Kate mansiApril 27, 2019 at 7:43 am #1202869197
Now that the reel descriptions are out, here’s who I want to win:
Guest Actor: I’m indifferent but it would be cool for a game show host to win an acting award…
Younger Actress: Again, indifferent, but I like Olivia Keegan
Younger Actor: Even as a Y&R watcher, I can’t root for Zach Tinker. I liked William Lipton for some reason when I saw him in a courtroom episode this year so I’ll go with him.
Supporting Actress: So. Much. Good. I love many of these as I was touched by Vernee Watson and Max Gail scenes. I am torn between Maitland and Morgan. I am going with Maitland, simply for the reason that winning an Emmy it could bolster family role and make her a more integral part of Genoa City, although I drank up Hilary’s losing-the-baby and death scenes.
Supporting Actor: Here I would like an Alzheimer’s patient to win. Max Gail is who I believe drove this poignant story and should be rewarded for it. I liked Bryton James as well. His story was very real, even when his scenes with Lily were so hard to watch.
Lead Actor: It’s Peter’s year to win. I think Benard will be the sympathetic favorite and I’m still not ruling out the dual role theory or other surprises, but Bergman’s reel scenes remind me of recent winners: Clifton, Tognoni, and most recently, Eileen Davidson.
Lead Actress: I think they all have potential. I wanted to go with Wright because I liked some of her scenes with Gail, but it doesn’t sound as if that was what she went with. I like Tom, but I think Wood is the dark horse with raw emotion and real story.
Drama Series: I like the Nurses ball tradition of GH and the show’s unexpected heart-filled themes. I love Y&R’s strength in relationships and family drama. I’d give it to Y&R for the year it had; the stories submitted show it can rise above.
