As much as I loathe Kate Winslet for stealing the Emmy from my Queen Lizzie, her performance as an unlikable unsatisfied mother having an affair and suffered with the burden of a loveless marriage and responsibility of children in Little Children is her best performance ever.

But my personal favourite was Meryl. Miranda Priestly is ICONIC and was a revolutionary in so many ways for the industry.

what a tough time for Best Actress that year

For story i would go for Little Children & Notes On A Scandal

for Performance :

1. Helen Mirren & Judi Dench (tie)

tbh. i couldn’t compare between these 2 ladies…but one thing that Mirren stand over another is she gave the best portrayed as Queen Elizabeth II. so many actresses played this character but Mirren the only crystal one…

2. Kate Winslet

one thing that i like from Winslet is she doesnt need to play around…just sit and relax by watching her face, gestures …i can see the desire from her …what a talent

3. Penelope Cruz

nahh…if you watch Volver…this one of the best from her ….its better than Parallel Mother…im not saying parallel Mother is bad…but Volver more challenging than Parallel Mothers…she deserves the 4 Oscar nomination this year..

4. Meryl Streep

tbh. i think Streep acting here too much dramatic than the real Miranda Priestly it self…lack of Priestly documentation that makes me a lil bit thinking . i think Priestley is not that “Devil” than Streep performance
