I just completed watching The Holiday for the tenth time and I wonder what you all think of the best performance in thr film.

I rewatched this on Christmas Eve. Kate Winslet is by far the best part of the movie. I kept waiting for the Cameron Diaz and Jude Law bits to be over, and for the bits with Kate Winslet to start again. Eli Wallach is the next best thing in the movie, and Jack Black actually gives a pretty good performance as well.

    FYC:

Everything Everywhere All At Once in all categories, but especially Lead Actress (Yeoh), Supporting Actor (Quan), Supporting Actress (Hsu and Curtis) and Original Screenplay

is this a joke? lol Its EASILY Winslet.

The film should just been about her character going to Los Angeles and her meeting her older neighbor. And if they really wanted two stories happening at the same time…..they should shown flashbacks of her older neighbor in Old Hollywood. That would have been a MUCH better film. The stuff with Diaz and Jude was cute, but not compelling at all.

Kate Winslet is the heart of the movie. Eli Wallach moves me to tears every damn time… And the scene at the Blockbuster, god if Jack Black owns it!

    This is a rom “X-Mas” com that doesn’t age…

    Jodie Comer supremacy

    FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION:

Everything Everywhere All at Once in all categories
    Luca Guadagnino for Best Director
Martin McDonagh for Best Adapted Screenplay
Brendan Fraser, Colin Farrell for Best Leading Actor
Brendan Gleeson for Best Supporting Actor
Hong Chau for Best Supporting Actress

Kate Winslet is definitely the MVP of the movie. With that said, it was a great ensemble and everyone did a great job. I really like this movie. Definitely one of my favourite Christmas movies.

    MVP – Kate Winslet

Btw Is this Kate Winslet’s only outright comedy? Carnage is a dark comedy but I don’t think she’s made any other comedy.
