I voted Douglas. De Niro was too serious in 1979. However, WB wanted Sylvester Stallone as Superman. So, I suppose WB wanted Sylvester Stallone as Batman too

Pierce Brosnan was almost Batman in 1988-1989 too

Chris Reeve was flying high as Superman otherwise he would have made an interesting choice.

I tried but I couldn’t imagine either of those 2 as Batman.
