Imagine you’re an Oscar voter. You’ve filled out your ballot for 22 out of the 23 categories, where you just pick one nominee and the winner is decided by simple majority vote. But now you’ve come to Best Picture, where you have to do preferential voting and rank every nominee from best to worst in order to hit that 50% consensus mark. If I were an Oscar voter, my rankings on my ballot would be like this:
1. Belfast
2. The Power Of The Dog
3. CODA
4. West Side Story
5. Drive My Car
6. King Richard
7. Nightmare Alley
8. Dune
9. Licorice Pizza
10. Don’t Look UpHow would you rank the nominees on your own hypothetical ballot?
