So I did a bit of research and found that no one has started a thread on this topic yet. Now that I’ve seen every single Oscar winner for Best Supporting Actor from the 2000s, here’s how I rank them:

    1. Heath Ledger-The Dark Knight
    2. Javier Bardem-No Country for Old Men
    3. Christoph Waltz-Inglorious Basterds
    4. Tim Robbins-Mystic River
    5. Morgan Freeman-Million Dollar Baby
    6. Chris Cooper-Adaptation.
    7. Jim Broadbent-Iris
    8. Alan Arkin-Little Miss Sunshine
    9. Benicio del Toro-Traffic
    10. George Clooney-Syriana

So what’s your ranking? Even if you haven’t seen all ten of these winners, feel free to rank the ones you have actually seen.

    10. George Clooney

The top three here are completely above the rest in my opinion. I like Arkin, del Toro, Freeman and Arkin. I think Cooper is good but overrated, Harris and Walken were ahead of him for me. I think Clooney was good but Giamatti and Gyllenhaal were better for me.
