She’s one of the greatest actress working today. Extremely talented, committed and gorgeous. I’m really curious how do Goldderby’s user ranking her Oscar nominated performances. Here’s my personal ranking

For the ages: The Bridges of Madison County 1995)

    2. A Cry in The Dark (1988)

    3. Sophie’s Choice (1982) (win)

    4. The Devil Wears Prada (2006)

    5. Kramer vs. Kramer (1979) (win)

    6. Florence Foster Jenkins (2016)

    7. Doubt (2008)

    8. August Osage County (2013)

    9. Adaptation (2002)

    10. Silkwood (1983)

    11. The Post (2017)

    12. The Iron Lady (2011) (win)

    13. Julie & Julia (2009)

    14. Into The Woods (2014)

Haven’t seen: The Deer Hunter, The French Liutenant’s Woman, Out of Africa, Ironweed, Postcards From The Edge, One True Thing, Music of The Heart.

I’ve been privileged enough to watch almost all her Oscar Nominated movies and my list goes (based on her performance solely)

1.) Sophie’s Choice (One word: WOW..”I keep telling to myself I’ve saved my son I’ve saved my son”)
2.) Kramer Vs Kramer (she made someone relatable to many people and sympathetic)
3.) The Devil Wears Prada (the way she managed to make this character sympathetic deserves a huge credit)
    4.) Silkwood
5.) A Cry In The Dark
    6.)The Bridges Of Madison County
    7.) Doubt
8.) Julie and Julia /The Iron Lady
    9.) Adaptation
10.) Out Of Africa/The French Lieutenants Woman

I’ve seen a few more but I won’t include them.Frankly almost all of those 21 nominations are terrific performances.

~Not much active now due to a higher studies course
~still love watching films and television shows
~Everything Everywhere All At Once in all categories.
    ~Currently watching Abbott Elementary

Yep, “Sophie’s Choice” is #7. I don’t know maybe it’s the universal fawning that turns me off. Not fair to the work, but I’ve never been at that level for this performance. It’s great as is 99% of her work, but still. — I do love a diva carrying on but “August: Osage County” is a bit of a headache to get through, it easily got #21. “Adaptation.” Is my favorite film she has ever been in, but even if it wasn’t, the performance alone deserves the top spot. She never gets her due for “Ironweed” around here, it’s an amazing performance.

    01. ADAPTATION.
    02. A CRY IN THE DARK
    03. IRONWEED
    04. POSTCARDS FROM THE EDGE
    05. THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA
    06. SILKWOOD
    07. SOPHIE’S CHOICE
    08. JULIE & JULIA
    09. KRAMER VS. KRAMER
    10. THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY
    11. ONE TRUE THING
    12. INTO THE WOODS
    13. OUT OF AFRICA
    14. THE POST
    15. THE IRON LADY
    16. DOUBT
    17. THE DEER HUNTER
    18. THE FRENCH LIEUTENANT’S WOMAN
    19. MUSIC OF THE HEART
    20. FLORENCE FOSTER JENKINS
    21. AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY

Meryl Streep herself found her performance in The French Lieutenant’s woman as flawed.
