In the wake of Tom Hanks’s 65th birthday (in which he reaches the so called “retirement age”) i was wondering, do you think he will retire gracefully like Jack Nicholson or Daniel Day-Lewis did (even though he was only 60), thus maybe in five or seven years from now, when he reaches 70 and his movie star status and box office drawing power declines or do you think he will continue to work regardless and to take whatever comes his way until he dies like DeNiro, Pacino, and Hopkins????

Maybe he’ll retire at 70 or 72 years.

I can’t see Tom Hanks retiring any time soon, but I do think he’ll be more selective in his roles. De Niro apparently did so much crap films because of his ex-wife’s extravagant lifestyle, and Pacino had young children at an age where most people have grandchildren, so maybe he was trying to get enough money for their future college tuition.

Personally, I think he didn’t deserved 2 Oscars. He is one of the most Overrated actors of all time. I think he is inferior to DDL and JN. I think Denzel Washington is the greatest actor of his generation including Tom Hanks and DDL
