Given all the buzz for Nicole after her Golden Globe win, I thought I’d bring back this series that popped up about 7 or 8 years ago when I first got on here that asks what nomination you think a certain actress deserved an Oscar for. For me, Kidman was most deserving for Rabbit Hole as well as Moulin Rouge although I need to rewatch all the performances from those two years. When would you have given her an Oscar?

Out of the nominations; The Hours, but my favourite performance of hers is The Paperboy, bold and brassy with real vulnerability! I think she should have won in 2002 for The Others.

The Hours, The Others (underrated performance), and Bombshell

From this list i would say Moulin Rouge. I think she couldve already had a 2nd oscar with any of these films:

The Others..if relesed a different year

To Die For..only know  as mrs cruise at the time

The Paperboy..probably one of her strongest and best performances

Her performance in The Paperboy is so underrated. She truly transformed in that- she’d previously tried to play a slightly ‘trashy’ and working class character in The Human Stain; which didn’t really work, but her work in The Paperboy is just stunning.
