3. Many more nominations though.
SQ for Jennifer LawrenceDecember 28, 2017 at 12:51 pm #1202450561
She’ll have plenty of nominations and 2 more wins, all three of them in Lead Actress.
Same question for Leonardo DiCaprioDecember 28, 2017 at 1:08 pm #1202450570
I think he will only have one.
Will Michelle Williams ever win an Oscar?December 28, 2017 at 1:22 pm #1202450576
A bunch of dvds, cds and books – but only because I had ordered them.
Worst gift that you received this year?
what did you get specifically
Zodiac, The Look of Silence, philosophy books, A Serious Man, Kanye West and some other and more obscure stuff. I don’t trust my parents’ tastes, lol.December 28, 2017 at 1:23 pm #1202450577
Anyway, yes, I think Michelle Williams will win an Oscar at the end. Just one though, and not too many nominations!
SQDecember 28, 2017 at 1:30 pm #1202450580
I think she’ll eventually win a supporting actress Oscar.
Will Margot Robbie ever win an Oscar?December 28, 2017 at 1:43 pm #1202450584
I hope White Michelle can win for Sean Durkin’s Janis Joplin biopic IF that’s ever even happening.
I think Margot Robbie can. She’s proving to be a strong, serious actress and I’m sure she’ll continue producing as well. So, for either.
What contender(s) this year will probably never return as a future nominee in your opinion?December 28, 2017 at 1:48 pm #1202450589
If Daniel Day Lewis can be believed on his retirement than he is the easy answer, but I don’t believe he’ll stick to it so I will say Mary J. Blige.
same questionDecember 28, 2017 at 2:50 pm #1202450627
Gary Oldman is probably done after his win, same with Willem Dafoe. They’re not old, but I don’t see them returning.
It’s difficult for me to see where newcomers like Daniel Kaluuya and Hong Chau go in their careers. Kaluuya doesn’t seem like he’s returning, Chau could.
I second Mary J. Blige.

Chau will be lucky to get this first nomination for a marginalized film. The stars would really have the align for a second nomination.

I was going to say Allison Janney, but if she doesn’t win this year we can expect a lot of Oscar-bait from her in the coming years. I’ll go with Rockwell — he could come back, but it might take a long time.
Which has you most excited this year: SAG or the Globes?
