The first film I saw in 2017: “Star Wars: Rogue One”
The last film I saw in 2017: “Mother!”

Tough call since both were problematic for me. “Star Wars” a bit dull and “Mother!” gets increasingly repellent, and I am not sure all that horror and suffering is called for in what is basically a satire about artistic narcissism. The ends do not justify the means… though Jennifer Lawrence is great. I would never watch “Mother!” again so “Star Wars” narrowly gets my vote.

Will Tom Hanks ever win another acting Oscar?

Hard to say since he gets repeatedly snubbed (I think he’s getting snubbed for The Post as well). If he was getting repeatedly nominated he’d be due a third somewhere in the next decade I think.
He hasn’t been nominated since Cast Away so I think he has to get nominated once or twice before he can win again which might be when he’s very old, but he could do it. He hasn’t stopped working.

What is the biggest snub and biggest surprise you’re predicting for this season’s Oscar nominations?

I don’t have many surprises at the moment, I should probably change some of my predictions.
As of now, I’m predicting Phantom Thread to perform well, but without any particular reason.

Suggest three great films which were released last year and didn’t receive much buzz and popularity.

Yes. I’m predicting he’ll win eventually and complete the “Three Amigos” Mexican director’s circle at the Oscars.

I’d say no. I definitely don’t see him winning in the next future.

No, does he even act anymore? He already has one as a producer so he’s fine.

My question from before: Favorite and least favorite BP contender (Top 15 in GD odds)?
